Dating Cruz is one of the best choices I've ever made, eversince we dated I forgot what sadness ever felt like. I just finished my last class so I was standing in the hall talking to Lauren. "I remember when you said Cruz and you were meant to be," Lauren teased. "That was me being an idiot," I chuckled. "But it is true," Lauren laughed wriggling her eyebrows. My cheeks turned red and her smile grew. I felt an arm around my waist. "At least my girl doesn't even need to try," Cruz yelled at Daniel (his friend). "What was that about?," I asked trying my hardest not to laugh. "He thinks his girlfriend's better than you," He says rolling his eyes. "That's tru-," I said before a pair of lips collided into mine. "Not true if I must correct," Cruz says confidently. "Hey babe," Lauren exclaimed and hugged Ethan. "Hey Eth," I smiled and waved. "Hey guys," Ethan smiled and kissed Lauren's cheek. "Do you guys wanna do laser tag?," Lauren asks. I was about to say yes but my phone buzzed it was from my mum, she said I need to go home now. "Sorry guys I have to raincheck to that," I frowned. "Awe alright maybe next time," Lauren smiled. "Sure, I've got to go bye," I smiled. "Where are you going babe," Cruz questioned. "Mum said there was an emergency I need to go home now," I explained. "I'll come with you," Cruz says as we both walked together.

As I got there, I saw an Ambulance parked just in front I started panicking. They took a body out it was my step dad. My mum explained what happened and I broke down in tears of course Cruz was there to comfort me but what happened triggered my Anxiety attacks. My stepfather  is not dead but he had a heart attack and right now my mum is in the hospital with Ethel to see him. "What if he never wakes up and I'm not there, what if..," I cried. "Shh...Baby he's gonna be okay, we're going to go through this step by step together,"Cruz says and cleared off my tears. He kisses me repeatedly, cuddled me and said a lot of funny jokes until I smiled. Cruz and I grabbed dinner then fell asleep.

I fell asleep in Cruz's chest listening to his heart thump made me feel peaceful. I woke up by my door slowly closing. Mum was home so I faked sleep. My mum walks in and chuckled. "He's alright I know you're awake I just want to let you know that he's going to be alright,"Mum whispered and kissed my forehead. "Is it morning yet,"Cruz yawned groggily wrapping his arms around me. "Shh," I giggled as mum left my room. "I love you Millie," Cruz whispered sleepily. "I love you too Sweetie," I smiled and slumbered off peacefully.
