He stared at the headgear in his hands. The simplistic model that looked oddly like a bulky hard headed helmet contrastingly rested somewhat lightly in his hands. Turning the device around and examining all the small details of the inside, Donghyuck shivered. Maybe he did sort of consider Renjun's warnings after the millionth time. Cause damn the wiring was no joke, it was a safety hazard already with how open most of the machinery was regarding contact with skin. He could barely believe he didn't notice it for the first week. 'Must have been too eager with the games release.'
Donghyuck considered himself lucky due to the fact that he even got a copy of the game in the first place. The helmet like devices weren't that pricy for him to afford, he had just enough with the money he collected from small tasks anyways. And maybe a few loopholes from the streets. However the game price was beyond insane with the only exception being the first few buyers of the VR devices, the game testers, and whoever got a membership to the company (with a monthly paid subscription). They all got some type of discount for the game. And by no means did that lot include Donghyuck. He just happened to be lucky enough to get the game from a friend of his.
'I mean, I don't hear any reports or rumours going around about any glitches or anything like that... Obviously Renjun is just being anxious like always.' He repeated the sentence two or three times so he could implant the idea in his brain. By the time he got to his fourth, the urge to see Jaemin again was way too overpowering to turn down. He shifted into a more comfortable position on his bed, tucking himself into the duvet a bit to stay warm, and set the VR onto his head. Donghyuck watched as everything around him became dark and no matter how many times, it never got old. The device whirred to life and the onyx tint of his surroundings shifted to a light blue haze as words started to appear before him.

~Donghyuck?

He manifested from thin air into the sea blue kitchen. Having assumed his previous position of leaning against the granite counter of the island. Except this time it wasn't covered with flour, sugar or eggs. All the bowls, measuring cups and other cutlery were put away in their rightful place of a certain cupboard, painted in a much lighter hue. Donghyuck shifted his weight a few times, trying to get used to the cold feeling of the tile against his bare feet. Registering his surroundings, he blinked a bit against the sunlight coming from the windowpane above the double sink which was rid of all the dirty dishes from the last sugary experiment.
And there, leaning against the fridge as he was when Donghyuck left, was Jaemin. This time in a black shirt, tucked into his jeans which had really showed off how much taller he was than the older teen. His head resting against the surface of the door, with pinks locks a bit messy, and a troubled expression on his face. His eyebrows were furrowed in concern and confusion and arms crossed almost sternly. It reminded Donghyuck of the motherly way Jisung talked to him. Except with the way Jaemin was doing it, there was nothing irritating about it. It was a bit more enticing to him, just a bit.

~This is unusual...
~Shouldn't you be at school right now?

He froze, muscles tensing up at the sudden question.
- Maybe.....

~Maybe?

- As in it's rather complicated to talk about...
The honey haired boy tried to find the right words to say.
- Like... I guess.....

Donghyuck was having an extremely tough time fessing up and to be entirely truthful he had no idea why. He was so used to blatantly saying what was on his mind all the time. This situation, however, made that usual habit become blocked by a brick wall. But just staring at his 'boyfriends' large eyes, glazed over with a pure kind of confusion, he found clarity. It wasn't  exactly the best way to realize it. That telling Jaemin would let him know that out of the VR, Donghyuck acted nothing like how he does in game. Another reminder that he only behaves this way with people who aren't real. And by people he meant person. And by person he meant Jaemin.

- I had two free blocks so I decided to go home.

Jaemin seemed a bit taken aback by the answer.
~ But what about trying to do something productive at school? Like homework?

- Had none
Donghyuck shrugged. 'That's a lie.' If he was talking to anyone else maybe he would have laughed at them and stated he 'doesn't do homework'.
- Plus isn't hanging out with you good for my mental health or something?

~Well..... that would make some sense... but than does that mean school is stressful for you or something?
It became silent for a moments time.
There was a shuffling noise whilst Donghyuck stared at the ground in some kind of guilt. A small part of him thought maybe the program would leave, angry with him. Soon enough though, he could see the black tips of Jaemin's shoes and next thing he knew, he was being embraced.
Donghyuck's first instinct was to repel backward, to show he was tough and all. Yet the smell of freshly baked cookies was rather disarming, and he ended up melting into the mould of Jaemin's figure. He didn't make a move to wrap his arms around the peach's abdomen. He just buried his face in the sweet smelling scent of Jaemin's black shirt. There was the weight of the 'younger' teens chin resting atop Donghyuck's head and the smooth motion of a hand rubbing his back-which let him relax as he relished in the warmth.

~Whatever it was, I'm sure it makes out to be a plausible reason as to why you decided to come here.
The taller boys voice was smooth a melodically low. Sounding like music to the students ears.

- Thanks for understanding.

~Now, enough of this semi drama, how about we go cuddle and watch a show?
The pink haired teen pulled back and gave a charming smile as he suggested the idea to his significant other. Donghyuck flushed at how upfront Jaemin was but nodded nonetheless.

[SITTING....]

The taller male smirked.
~If you happen to get too embarrassed just tell me ok?
- IM NOT EMBARRASSED SHUT UP.
