Virtual Room// LETTER

262 21 1

"To the beautiful man of my affections,
You may not see me. But I see you.
Everything little thing.
I like to take a lot of pictures,
You are a very photogenic person.
In fact every single picture I have taken, you look perfect.
All eight hundred of them.
And counting of course.
Maybe I will be able to take a picture of you while you're reading this."

The rest of the letter was filled with unreadable scribbles, and stains of what he only hoped to be sweat. He squinted at the signature at the bottom to try and make sense of it, but Donghyuck was ultimately unable to read the name of this 'secret admirer'. It was more accurate to describe them as a stalker actually.

~Hey Donghyuck!
Jaemin casually came into the living room, holding a plate of cookies that were almost as pink as his fluffy, oversized sweater. He sat down beside his 'boyfriend' curiously watching the menu close.
~What where you doing?

- Nothing that important.
He lied once again. Well, half a lie. It wasn't important at the moment, but he made sure to look at the letter when he logged off.

[OPENING] NETFLIX
[PLAYING] ZUMBO'S DESSERTS

Jaemin hummed, content with the show as he continued to munch on the cookies he made recently. The show started to play on and Donghyuck grew unsettled by how easily he let go of the subject. Usually, the pink haired boy would pester him until he would give up being so stubborn and just outright tell him. Today, Jaemin kept quiet and continued to watch the show.
When he wasn't blabbing on Jaemin's attractiveness was even more distinct. He had very soft eyes that Donghyuck could absolutely drown in. There had to be some kind of shark in those dark pools though, since whenever his eyes became hooded over with something else- it was as if there was an alarm blaring and people shouting to get out. What an enhancement it was when paired with those long eyelashes of his, which would lay gracefully on his round cheekbones; along with his pink, fluffy hair, so soft it was almost luring him in to start running his fingers through it. And his lips. Curved downward in a resting pout in contrast to the corners curved upward. The thin upper lip ultimately complimenting the lower one which was plump, and jutted out to enhance his near sulking expression.
'Imagine how swollen they would be if I kissed them for as long as possible.' Donghyuck's face nearly exploded red just thinking about it and he cursed under his breath for how perfect Jaemin was. For Pete's sake even his nose was amazing! It was so.... so boop worthy! Damn him for being an amazing piece of artwork.
All of these factors added up to a quiet taunt really, Jaemin was soundlessly teasing him. Maybe he noticed it, maybe he didn't. Either way it was getting on Donghyuck's nerves and he just had to tell what happened.

- I received a very interesting letter today....
Jaemin turned to face him, confirming his previous guess that he did happen to be taking a jab at him with a victorious smirk paired with 'innocent' doe eyes.
Donghyuck tried not to hit him, although he did flinch.
- With very interesting wording...

The room regained it's once silence impression while Jaemin scanned the picture of the letter. His face gradually darkened and grew more sour as he read on. By the end of it his whole visage was scrunched up, clearly disturbed.

{YES NO}

~That was the most unpleasant letter I have ever seen actually given to someone.
- That's the only letter you have ever seen actually given to someone

    Jaemin rolled his eyes.
~Ok yes, but that's besides the point. The real thing is, this person is creepy and you should report that letter

-But won't I need more proof? You can't just bring one letter forward and expect the police to believe you right away
~Do they really think some kid would joke around about a serious matter like this?

Donghyuck bit the inside of his cheek. Because he did make jokes about that several times. And inevitably, after tricking the school staff into thinking people were stalking him, threatening him, trying to attempt assault on him- he finally got one of the deeds done unto him. This time, the teachers would think twice about believing him right away, if they could ever believe him again. That would only happen if he ever happened to stumble in with actual real blood on him or an actual real wound.
-It doesn't matter, to do anything serious about it I think I would need more than one letter.

~So you are going to let this go on until how many? Five? Eight? Or when this stalker suddenly becomes serious and tries to win you over, or try to capture you or something.
Jaemin frowned, eyebrows furrowing like this was a real dilemma to him. Donghyuck tried to hold back a nearly condescending smile.

-Why, are you jealous I will be taken away from you?
~I'd rather reword it to be, 'I don't want you to get hurt just in case this gets out of hand.'
-Hey! At least I won't have homework, or need to go to school.
~It's worrying that you say things like that so easily.

He quickly gained some kind of composure, realizing he was slipping in his act.
-I mean, I'm doing well and everything, but that doesn't mean I like it. You know?

Jaemin nodded slowly, his facial expression unchanging. There was a shift in mood that swiftly moved on. It was clearly there for a moment but Donghyuck was too on edge about being called out for lying to really understand the reason. Along with the shift, he was pulled into a hug by the peach, bringing him along to sit beside his 'boyfriend' on the reclined couch. Like a large puppy, Jaemin nearly squashed Donghyuck when stretching his limbs to entangle with the honey haired boys. Feeling awkwardly comfortable, the two shifted a bit more until they were both snug beside each other whilst watching the show. Which happened to have landed on an episode or two ahead of what they were previously watching.
Forgetting about the previous problem they were discussing, Donghyuck inwardly sighed with content and rested his head against Jaemin's chest. He relished in the non-existent warmth and heard the non-existent heartbeat against the non-existent chest, of his non-existent boyfriend. But he was too enticed by the sweets to notice any of this.
