This time around Donghyuck was literally on edge. His focus was on the line from two different subjects as the lunch period continued on.
Jaemin was as distracting as usual. This time he and Chenle were just out in the field playing some ultimate frisbee with the other kids. His lean, compact figure moving around smoothly across the grass as he passed around the frisbee to the other students. Donghyuck was close to leaping off the tree and running to tackle hug Jaemin or at least try and join in the game.
Renjun, on the other hand, was addressing the stalker problem. Spouting out creative ideas from setting up some hidden camera in his locker to hosting a random petition so he could find the writing style closest to the writer. He had a pencil in one hand and his notebook in the other to jot down ideas as he kept brainstorming. This was the thing that gently tugged Donghyuck back to his spot. The reminder that finding out who this person was would get him one step ahead of the game.
Meanwhile, Jisung was having the time of his life watching his upperclassman struggle back and forth between the two. And as stereotypical as it was, he even had some popcorn with him. This occurrence was a near shock to experience, especially since Donghyuck wasn't the type to be so obvious about his emotions. It was usually the normal witty comments everywhere and some random sub culture being throw into the conversation for the day. Now, there happened to be a chaotic stem of actions that went branched out in a disorganized manner.
"The petition one may be a bit of a stretch, considering how unliked we are most of the time." Renjun said, his pen moving faster than he was talking. "If I have enough time, I could probably wire up some type of camera to capture a hint to the culprit. It does seem like a rather quick solution though...."
His friend moved his eyes towards the blond. Renjun took a nearly disdainful glance at him. "Considering who you are, we may need a longer time to try and decipher what their intention was as well."
Letting out a whine, Donghyuck smacked his hand against the bark of the branch beside him. He was clearly not happy with this 'observation'.
Renjun merely shrugged. "I'm not telling lies here." He gestured to the crowds of people eating lunch below. "You can ask any one of them, they probably could confirm my quote on quote- theory."
"You don't have to be so frank about it." The other pouted and he turned to Jisung. "But I bet maybe Chenle and Jaemin would say otherwise right?" He quirked his eyebrows up and down, trying to get some kind of point across. The orange haired kid turned his head in the other direction so Donghyuck wouldn't get the satisfaction of seeing how much he was blushing. Thankfully, the tease wasn't solely watching him. "Oh! Jeno really likes me! He talks to me a lot now a days."
"You mean two times this week." Renjun frowned, unimpressed. He ignored whatever complaint or facial expression his friend gave and continued talking more. "Anyways, I was thinking maybe we should go to the library after school and find out if this person got any source inspiration." He mumbled something else about scripts before waiting for Donghyuck's answer.
However, the teen was only half focused while he kept an eye trained on Jaemin while his team happened to be winning. A smile grew on his face once they scored, making it the tenth time that period and then went back to where Renjun was. He had no idea what he was supposed to be agreeing to, yet he agreed anyways. If it was about dealing with this stalker problem then he wouldn't mind dropping some time in the VR. That would only clear up more time to spend with Jaemin. And that's precious. "Yep... uh.. after school.... library... got it..."
The blond scoffed, knowing fully well the person he was helping wasn't paying attention in the slightest. Nonetheless, he pretended to think nothing off it. The bell sounded off all across the premises, and the three of them swiftly climbed down to get to their classes. Renjun at a quick pace, Jisung at a more distracted pace, and Donghyuck at the leisurely walk pace.

The library was exceptionally bright for it being late afternoon, the sunlight dripping through the large windows and spilling out onto the floors and the tables. There was an odd quiet mumbling echoing across the large room and the slight noises of school supplies working. As students of all grades congregated around to study, do homework, or just hangout. The sun lit up the dust surrounding the shelves where books lay to rest until the next person would come along and awake them for something. Most were in their correct place, whilst the few other books happened to be scattered around- accompanied by someone or not.
Among the whispers and mummers was the muffled music that was too loud in the headphones to just be contained by one's ears. Besides that the duo's footsteps made no sound when stepping on the navy and sanguine flecked carpet as they roamed around to find the right aisle to starts their search. They briskly found the fiction section of the library, and went to work at picking out the books Renjun listed down the day before. One from Section A Numbers 200-300; one from Section J Numbers 1-100; two from Section F Numbers 1-100; one from Section T Numbers 400-500; and so on and so forth. Donghyuck took the table closet to where he had just taken the last book and Renjun made a mad beeline to the printer.
So as the tanned kid started at reading some of the books, the petite blond would be able to get some scripts. Renjun turned on his newest burner phone to message one of his friends- and in no time the printer whirred to life as it faxed the papers he had just asked for. It took five minutes for the fifteen pages, double sided, to be fully printed out. Which was completely fine with him, because he smiled softly and collected the small stack of papers covered with ink. Bringing them back without a hitch and therefore stunning Donghyuck to ogle at the amount.
"That's a lot of damn papers you got there Mr. Analytical." He whispered, careful with disturbing the blanket of peace settled on the room. "Are you sure you didn't just drag me in to study for a test?"
"Positive." Renjun pulled out a group of highlighters bound together with an elastic band. "I'll just be highlighting certain aspects we have seen by your so called stalker, and aspects we have yet to see." And with that final note he got to work, adjusting the circular glasses so they wouldn't fall off.
Donghyuck, himself, had gotten back to the reading he was tasked with as well. For at least an hour, he scanned the paragraphs upon paragraphs of text to find something that could hint at the dilemma he was facing. He jotted down the random hints he got, quotes, suspicious actions, the way everything could be described. Along with it he listed the pages and books they were from, putting little notes beside each one so his future self could get the context of his previous thinking. In the back of his mind, Donghyuck wondered if studying ever seemed as chill as this. There was the floating consideration on if he should try and study once in a w-
'Does Jaemin study at all? Or does he just have an ability to wing every test and assignment?'
He paused everything he was doing to think about it. And with it he started to think about how Jaemin would look. Hunched over a desk during the night with the lamp turned on. The sleeves of his uniform button down rolled up to his elbows showing off his forearms at one of the best angles. His hair disheveled from lack of sleep and his face, contorted in a look of concentrations as his eyebrows furrowed- almost as if he were frustrated. The light would illuminate the sharp yet gentle features of the pink haired boys face, especially those perfectly formed, crimson red lips-
Donghyuck's face turned into a dark shade of red. Despite having the book right in front of him. He continued to daydream, utterly lost in his own world.
