William looked at the female as he watched her. He moved closer to her and looked at her, his ice blue eyes clear of an hunger and rage. Zarena gazed up into Williams icy blue eyes. She had noticed the blood lust and vengeful anger built up was gone from them. That had made her wonder. She slowly reached her hand out, hesitant to place it on the beast cheek. She couldn't believe what she had been doing let alone with whom she was sharing a moment with. "For some reason, I'm not afraid of you." Her voice was nothing but a whisper, a breeze in the wind. "You saved my life, I am in debt to you." She stated as she tried to lean up. She was a little light headed. "I should probably get home, but first I have to get the kava root for Aunt Josaphine ." she tried to stand and held on to a tree near to keep her balance. "Ow." She hissed out as she reached for her neck. It had burned intensely. "Why does it burn?" She asked herself as her eyes locked on William, watching him curiously.

William watched her as she spoke. Her voice was calming and it relaxed him but he was still aware of what was going around them and keeping a look out for any danger. A shock went threw his system when he felt her hand on his cheek he was so silent as he watched her. Then coming back he saw her stand up and hold on to a tree for support. He moved closer to her and he looked at her neck. It was red and angry looking. He let out a whimper to try and say he meant no harm before moving his right paw and gently moved her head to the side so he could get a better look at the wound. He could smell her blood and the vampire on her still. He nuzzled the side of her face softly before licking the wound softly to clean the wound. He gave the wound two more licks before he saw the wound looked better and less angry. The bleeding had stopped but he was still worried about her. He did the only think he do, and very carefully he picked her up in his arms and made his way back to the village were she lived. Just stopping short of the forest tree line he looked down at her. Her skin was a little pale. Very slowly and reluctantly he set her down on her feet, but kept close in case she was to fall over. He could see the night watchers keeping watch as night fall and not to far in the distance the sound of a wolf howling could be heard.

"Where is that girl?" Josaphine said in a worried voice as she saw how dark it had become since Zarena left for the kava root.

"She's a smart girl, she will be fine." A voice replied by the fire. Josaphine turned and looked at her mother Ana Lee. She was sitting in an old rocking chair next to the fire with a blanket over her legs. "After all she is just like her mother." She said with a distance smile as if recalling how Zarena mother Cara was. Josaphine shook her head as she looked out the window. She was like her sister and that is what scared her. "Please be ok." She whispered under her breath as Ana Lee sang softly in the room.

Zarena had tried to keep her balance, a small gasp escaped her lips as William closed in the space between them. She remained still as he lifted her chin, her eyes closed as he licked her neck. To her surprise, it had felt a little better and she could tell it had stopped bleeding. "Thank yo-" She said as she cut herself off as she was swooped into the others arms. He was so strong and masculine. Zarena found herself looking the wolf over. Her eyes locked on his face, she was feeling tired and weak. A faint smile curled on her lips. "I don't know why you saved me but I'm forever in your debt." She said as she was placed into her feet again. Zarena caressed Williams cheek with her hand and lightly kissed it. "My hero." She said as she turned away and walked to her home.

Zarena wrapped her cloak tightly around her as she drew closer to the gate. The night guards opened the small door that was to the right of the gate and she stepped in just as it started to rain. Her eyes scanned the street and saw that everyone was safely in their homes. She was feeling drained and tired form what had happened in the forest but she couldn't get William off of her mind and before she knew it she was at the door of her home. Before she could open it her Aunt Josephine opened the door.

"My child are you alright? What took you so long? You look so pale." Josephine said as she pulled Zarena out of the storm as lighting filled the night sky.

"I got lost it was to dark and I was unable to find the root. I was headed back when I ran into some vampires but I'm okay I was saved." She said assuring her aunt that everything was alright.

Josephine gasped as she heard Zarena's words. "Oh heavens no, drink this child." She stated as she handed over a special blended tea that would help her sleep that night.

"Thank you Aunt Josephine," She took the tea cup from her and drank the hot tea its warmth warming her cold bones. "I am going to head to bed, I shall get you the root in the morning." Zarena stated before heading towards her room. She stripped out of her cloths that were wet and laid them on the chair before crawling into her bed and pulling the cover close to her as she drifted off to sleep with William on her mind before sleep pulled her under.
