Chapter 16

 Zarena didn't want to see her aunt leave. Her saddened eyes looked to her mate. "William, there's got to be something we can do, that puts everyone in river stone in danger if he comes back looking for me." She explained as she now worried of her family and the children in the small village. "I can't let him do such things" she exclaimed as she struggled to get up on her feet. Zarena hadn't had luck though, she had so easily fell back down to the ground with a small grunt as she landed on her side. The fur did a lot of protection from the hard floor though the impact from her fall still hurt . Tears filled her eyes now, slowly dripping down her cheeks as she leaned forward as her arms wrapped around her stomach

"If there was anything I could do my love I would, but I can only think of getting you to safety." He picked her up and cradled his mate in his arms. "Shh my love. Everything will be alright I swear. After I get us in our new den. "As soon as you are feeling better and healthy and things have calmed down then maybe we can come back and see your aunt." He said in a soft voice as he whipped the tears away. Zarena buried her face into Williams chest. She had the worst feeling in her gut that something was going to happen. She wasn't reassured, not knowing that danger lurked all around her and the only thing she could do was run. "William...I..I can't let anything happen to my aunt or grandmother. We need them, all of us " she slipped and said as she still rested her head on his chest.

William was about to say something when he caught on to her wording. "Us? It will only be you and I my mate." He said in a soft voice. Zarena didn't notice she had slipped and told him. She pulled away from her mate as she looked him in the eye. "My love" she said softly as she reached for his hand, gently resting in on her stomach. "When Razvor bit me...I heard him mention it before going unconscious " she explained as a soft smile formed on her lips. William froze as he listened to his mate. He leaned in close and inhaled her scent. She smelled sweeter and spicier. "Are you..." He couldn't finish. Deep down he has always wanted a family, but he wasn't sure he would be a fit father.

Zarena nodded. She kept a smile on her face as she watched her mate. "We're going to have a family," she said as she reached her hand to Williams face, gently caressing his cheek. "Which is why I have to help them. They are my family too" she said softly as she lowered her eyes to her stomach. "I want them to have someone, besides us," she added as her happy like feeling returned to sadness

William nuzzled his mate as he held her to him. "I will run to the village and bring your grandmother and aunt then we will leave. We can not stay too long." He stood us and placed her on the furs before grabbing one and placing it over his mate. He walked over to one of the chests and opened it up and pulled out blank pants a white shirt and a long dark gray cloak. He felt awkward dressed in clothes but knew that he would have to get use to it. "I will be back shortly, you stay here my love." He leaned down and kissed her softly. "We shall have a family." He said before leaving the den and making his way towards the town of Riverstone.

Zarena nuzzled her mate back. She wasn't to find on being alone here by herself but she agreed. Zarena snuggled up under the fur William placed over her. She had worry filled in her eyes as she watched him. She nodded, returning his kiss. "Come back to us safe" she said as he stood back up to his feet. "Family" she stated as she watched her mate slip away into the dark

William looked back at the den one last time before he made his towards the town to get his mates Aunt and grandmother. The sun was setting and he knew he had to get their fast.

Kore and the vampire legion had made it to the town. It didn't take them long to tare down the gate. He smirked as he watched from the hills as screamed and fires blazed. He watched as one of the scouts ran up to him. "We can't locate her." He said as he stopped in front of him. Kore narrowed his eyes as he looked over the town then he looked towards the forest. "Follow me." He ordered as he turned his mount and headed towards the one place he could think of. The den. As they raced towards the den he slowed down at the edge of the tree line. He looked towards the den. He leaped from his mount and mad his way towards the entrance. He could hear the heartbeat of the female. He stopped inside the entrance and looked at the female that was sitting on the ground. "Well hello there." He said as he grabbed her by the hair and dragged her out of the cave. Not carrying he caused her harm. "We have someone that is dying to see you." He said as he threw her at the guard who bound her hands and gagged her. He didn't want her to scream and or call for William were ever he was. He mounted his horse and reached down and threw her in front of him as a horn followed by a how that shook the earth was heard. William must have seen the town. "Let's get out of here!" He ordered to the other vampire and they raced towards the keep where Lord Razvor was waiting for them.
