The storm had been wild and mean during the night. It had raged on for many hours until the first rays of the sun's light could be seen. As William made his way out of his den he was glad for once for not having to sleep in the rain and being wet. He made his way over to the river and took a drink. The crisp clean water tasted divine. He knew that today was going to be a start of a new life, a new world. But first he had to hunt and curve his hunger that his belly growled at him. Making his way into the forest. He could hear the call of a lone wolf calling for his pack. The sound of birds waking up and shaking out their feathers from last nights storm. Then he caught the scent of a buck. He made his way towards it quickly he slowed down to almost a stop when he saw the big buck grazing. He licked his fangs as he could image his teeth sinking in deep and the taste of meat. His muscles bunched in his thighs just before he launched himself at the buck. His jaw locked on the buck just as it looked up. It was a quick and clean kill for him. He knew he had to eat and then race to the edge of the forest, hoping that he would see her. He ate a good amount of the meat to where there was nothing left really. He raced back to the river and licked clean his claws as he dipped his face in the river water to was the blood away. He shook his body out and water sprayed everywhere. Once he was sure there was no blood on his muzzle he made his way to the edge of the forest and finding a good hiding spot he sat in wait as he watched the guards for the day take their post. A group of men with axes were making their way into the forest. He looked back towards the gate and waited, waited for her to show. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~♥♣~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Josaphine was worried about her niece. She had been acting strange since she had returning that night from encountering the Vampires. Who saved her? And why hasn't she spoken anything of who it was. She just finished the brew when there was a knock at the door. She wiped her hands on her apron before answering the door. A young boy wearing the colors of RiverStone stood their. He was a squire for the RiverStone family. Running earns for them and doing small tasks they saw themselves to good to do. "Morning Drew you are early, but I have Lady Asly brew ready." She said as she walked towards the table and picked up the light tan bag that had the brew in it. "Make sure she follows the instructions." She added as she handed him the bag as well as a rolled up parchment. "Thanks Ms. Josaphine." He said with a bow of his clean cut brown hair before taken off towards the keep of the RiverStone. She nodded in hello to those that were walking by before heading inside. Her mother was still asleep, due to the sleeping tea she drinks on stormy nights and she knew her niece would be up soon enough. And she had a few questions for her.
Zarena slept soundly through out the stormy night. Instead of the terror and traumatizing dreams of vampires, she had dreamed of her mighty beast, her hero. Zarena woke up with a smile on her face. When she seen the time, she was quick to get up and get dressed. Zarena pulled her hair back into a braid, twisting it up and around before pinning it. "All ready for my date with my beast." She thought with a deep breath. Zarena turned and opened her door, walking out to the kitchen where she seen her aunt and the runner boy . She smiled politely at him before he left, then looked at her aunt "Well aunt Josephine, I must get going I have to go do some things." She said as she went to walk by her aunt to get to the door. Josephine looked at her niece and shook her head. "I do believe we need to have a little talk before you running off like you did yesterday." She said as she looked at her niece square in the eyes. "What is going on with you? You haven't spoken about who had saved you from the Vampires and now you have this glazed look in your eyes, like you did last night. Speak child." Josephine only called Zarena when she was upset with her. She knew that her niece was a grown a woman. But she was her responsibility since her mother and father were killed by vampires.
Zarena paused and turned to look at her aunt. She didn't know what exactly to say to her. "Nothing's going on aunt, it was just some mysterious outsider who saved me. No big deal." She said as she tried to get past her aunt Josephine. She looked at her again, "You wouldn't understand right now, I promise I'll explain it all later, I'll be back later tonight okay, I'll be safe I promise." She said as she rushed out of the door, rushing for the gates, where she knew her beast would be waiting for her. "William?" She called out after reaching the out skirt of the forest as she walked in deeper into the forest she climbed up a hill while looking all around for him.
