Rosalie's POV

Asher had been on my mind since my first class of the day. After my second class, I had met up with Emmett and Jasper for our shared math class and they had told me about Asher's discussion with his friends. Jasper told me he lied to his friends about giving up on talking to me.

I wasn't sure if I was happy about that or irritated. I wished he had taken the hint when I told him I was a villain. His determination to get to know me was going to end up getting him killed. I decided to skip out on the rest of the day, having given Jasper the keys to my car so he could be able to drive himself and Alice home.

This human had the power to break down my walls if I had let him and I definitely didn't want that. I had grabbed my books and walked at a quick human-like place to the main office to inform the school that I would be leaving.

As I opened the door, I collided with someone much taller than I was. I stumbled slightly to make it seem as if I had been caught off guard.

"Oh, I am so sorry. Are you alright?" the familiar voice of Asher Bates spoke and I casted a glance up in his direction. His look of concern shifted only slightly as he offered me another one of those dazzling smiles. His eyes still held that same level of concern, "Rosalie. I'm sorry, I didn't see you there. Are you alright?" He repeated.

"Fine," I bit out sharply.

"That's good. Are you on your way in? Did the Princess get into trouble?" He questioned me, raising a single eyebrow. I rolled my eyes at his words.

"No. No trouble," I said simply, "I'm going home."

"Ah...why?" He questioned. Because you're making me feel human again and it's dangerous for you.

"I don't feel well," I looked up at Asher and he frowned slightly at me.

"Are you alright?" That was the third time he had asked me that question. It was the third time I knew he had meant it. He looked at me with that same level of concern as he had when he asked me the first time.

"I'm fine," I partially lied. I wasn't sick, per say. I just couldn't be around him much longer without losing all control.

"Well I've been sent home for the day," Asher shrugged casually as he looked at me, grinning slightly.

"And I care why?" I raised my eyebrows, questioningly.

"Well, because now I'm free enough to walk you home," Asher said and I rolled my eyes.

"I don't need you to walk me home," I said simply and Asher flashed me a small grin, raising a single eyebrow.

"Ya sure?"

"Positive. Now if you'll excuse me," I pushed past Asher and into the main office. I let the door shut behind me as I walked to the secretary's desk. She looked up from the papers she was writing on and at me.

"Ah, Miss Hale, can I help you?" She questioned, raising her glasses up on her nose slightly.

"Yes, I don't feel well. I would like a pass to go home, please," I tried to sound as polite as possible as I looked the woman in the eyes. She stared at me silently for a moment before offering a soft smile.

"Of course," she said instantly. She leaned down and began writing something on a piece of paper. She ripped the paper off of the pad she was using and handed it to me, "Here you go. Please feel better, Miss Hale."

"Thank you," I said simply as I took the slip of paper and walked out of the office. I knew Asher was still waiting for out in the hall. I smelt him before I heard him.

"So, how did it go? Are you being set free?"

I turned my head to see Asher leaning against the wall outside of the office. His hands were in the pockets of his jeans and he had a single foot pressed against the wall.

"Not that it's any of your business, but yes. Yes I am. So goodbye, Asher," I said, spinning on my heels to walk down the hall.

I heard Asher's footsteps behind me, so I knew he was following after me. I continued to walk until I slipped out the entrance doors. I walked down the steps, clutching my books to my chest as I walked. I wouldn't be able to run with Asher following me so I would be stuck walking until he left. Asher fell into step beside me and I turned my head to see him walking with his hands in the pockets of his jeans.

"Why are you following me?" I questioned, raising a single eyebrow.

"I'm walking you home," he answered, looking over at me with his brows furrowed in confusion, that smirk on his face.

"I told you I didn't need you to walk me home," I said as I shot him a glare, "Can't you take a hint?"

"No," he shrugged simply. I rolled my eyes as I continued to walk on. I decided it would be best to just ignore his presence and hope he'd disappear, "So where'd you move here from?" I didn't respond, looking straight ahead as I continued to walk, "Come on, Princess. You've got to give me something." I didn't say anything to his words, "Rosalie," I felt a hand on my arm and I lifted my lip in an almost snarl as I turned to glare at him.

"Don't touch me," I snapped and he lifted his hand away from my arm and held both of his hands up in surrender.

"I'm sorry," he said simply, his eyes looking down at me, showing nothing but sincerity.

"It's fine. I just don't like being touched," I said as I looked away from Asher's worrying blue eyes. I don't like the way it feels when you touch me. I don't like that you make me feel so much with just one touch.

"I'm sorry. I won't touch you again," Asher promised and I nodded my head silently before turning around and continuing to walk. I could hear Asher speeding up behind me and then falling into step beside me, "Rosalie," he said and I turned my head slightly to look at him, "I want to get to know you. I don't know why and I can't explain myself. But I need to know you. Please just give me a chance to be your friend."

I sighed, looking away from the tall teenage boy. I turned my head to look at him before rolling my eyes, "Fine."

I knew I had made the right decision when Asher flashed me that grin. I was going to hell anyways. I might as well make it even more official.
