Edward decided to visit our cousins in Denali for the rest of the week. As soon as Emmett pulled into the garage, yelling could be heard from Alice inside.

"You can't just leave, Edward! What about Carlisle and Esme?" Our little sister yelled at Edward as Emmett, Rosalie, Serena, and I walked into the house. I raised an eyebrow as I saw Edward standing at the front door with his bag in hand.

"I'll call them on my way," Edward said as he refused to meet Alice's eyes, "I have to go, Alice. She's in danger with me around. I can't control myself. I'll kill her."

"No, you won't," Alice is quick to say. I frowned as I felt Rosalie slip under my arm. I pulled her into my side as I watched the interaction between my siblings.

"Alice," Jasper's voice called to his mate. She looked at him, "Maybe it is the best choice for Edward to leave."

"I agree," I spoke up, causing everyone's eyes to draw toward me. Even Edward looked at me, he flashed me a thankful smile, "At least for the time being. You've never met your blood singer, Alice. It is quite hard to resist the urge to drink from them. Trust me I know."

Rosalie squeezed the hand that draped over her shoulders comfortingly and I just continued on with my speech.

"Edward should go. At least until he can gain an upper hand on his control."

"See, Jasper and Asher agree. Looks like I'm going," Edward said

"But," I quickly spoke up, glancing at Edward, "You should wait until Carlisle and Esme get home so you can tell them yourself. It'll already kill Esme to lose a son, it'll destroy her if you leave without even saying goodbye."

Please. I need you here for when I return with Rosalie. I have big news.

I watched Edward as he stared at me silently, taking in my words. He sighed before nodding his head once at me.

"Alright," he said, "I'll wait for Carlisle and Esme to get home then."

Thank you.

"Good. Now if you'll excuse me. I'm in dire need of a hunt," I let go of Rosalie and began to walk to the front door. I turned my head to look at my mate and flashed her a small grin, "Are you coming, Princess?"

Rosalie smiled softly at me before running toward my side. She flashed Edward a glare as she stopped at his side, but before she could say anything I took her hand and we ran outside, side by side.

Rosalie let my hand go and smirked at me before running off ahead of me. I couldn't help but to laugh as I watched the blonde beauty run deeper into the woods. I ran after her, jumping over a falling log. I was fast. Almost as fast as Edward, who was the fastest in our family. I was second best and I often used that to my advantage when Rosalie wanted to race.

I squinted my eyes and watched as a log flew up from the ground and flew in front of Rosalie, who stopped just before it could hit her. I smirked as I looked at Rosalie, jumping over the log and sprinting after her.

"No fair. You've cheated," Rosalie said, voice laced in annoyance as she ran after to me. I skidded to a stop and looked back at my Rosalie, who stopped just beside me.

"I win," I said with a slight smirk of amusement.

"You've cheated. You used your gift against me," Rosalie pouted at me. I frowned at the sight of her pout and I felt my heart break as I stepped towards her.

"No. Wait don't pout. I'm sorry, Rosie," I said as I took her hand in my own. She looked up at me with our shared golden eyes, which were glossed over. It looked like if she were able to, she'd be crying right now, "Please, Rosalie. I'm so sorry. I won't ever use my power against you again," I pleaded as I dropped to my knees in front of my wife.
