Tuesday September 10th
I actually hate everyone.
Not kidding.
After the whole debacle in the locker room Colin was dead to me and so was everyone in there.
The whole game was filled with my friends saying stuff about Him on the field, and the football boys sending mischievous smiles my way.
It's didn't take a physic to realize they had a plan for Friday involving me. And it must have not taken a physic for them to realize that I wasn't going to show up at the game. Meaning they were taking extra precautions, and making sure someone was driving me to the game.
And when my friends finally were done with all the talk, Cade scored a touchdown with 3 seconds left on the clock- meaning that we won. Of course this caused everyone to start chanting his name, which meant my friends screamed his name into my ears.
It seems the only person on my side is Cade himself.
But now it was Tuesday and the theme for the day was twins. Some people had it easy because they had a twin. Others went all out with new hairstyles and matching costumes.
My choice was a black sweatshirt and jeans, because nothing says school spirt like a black sweatshirt where I can fall asleep in class with the hood covering my face.
"My favorite Jesse!" I could smell Colins cologne before I could see his face. I could push this boy down the stairs. "What? No love for me?"
I turned down a hallway heading for my locker. It is officially the day of the year where I put my textbooks in the locked cubby and don't see them again until the last day of school.
"The silent treatment, really?" I continued to ignore the man baby next to my locker. He was so infuriating at the moment. He grabbed my shoulders when I tried to walk past him. "Jesse. What's wrong?"
"Two words. Locker room."
He rolled his eyes probably blowing off the whole event until he looked into my eyes for him to see the look of 'I'm being serious and if you don't listen you can fuck off.'
"I understand that I may have gone too far yesterday and I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you to get this upset by it. How can I make it up to you?"
"One day." Confusion spread across his face. "One day of peace and quiet. One day of no talk of Cesse or the khakis or anyone associated with them." It doesn't sound like a lot, but to him I'm practically asking him to rip out his kidney and hand it to me.
"12 hours."
That's a funny joke. I walked past him ready to go back to the main hallway.
"Fine. One day. Are you going to talk to me now?"
I shoved my hands into my pockets. "I suppose. what other Jesse do you know?"
—————
I dragged myself into Mr. Dixon's classroom and dropped into my seat across from Bri.
"How are you?"
I looked at Bri and her knowing smile on her face. "You don't even want to know."
