*Friday*
My parents loved Mac so much that they raved about him all the way until they boarded the plane yesterday. Like literally. The hugged me and the last thing they said to me was to tell Mac they said goodbye! My parents and I spent as much time together as we could until we had to have our bittersweet goodbye yet again. Mac and I did make time to go car shopping on Monday, and I think he might love his new G-Wagon more than he loves me; might. I'm currently getting ready for school, waiting for Mac to pick me up. I look myself over in the mirror one last time before grabbing my backpack and heading downstairs to make some breakfast. I pull out vanilla yogurt, fruit, and granola to make parfaits for Mac and I. As I am layering the foods into bowls, I hear the front door open. Seconds later, Mac is sauntering into the kitchen dressed in his football jersey and khaki pants, the required dress for the players on game days. Mac reaches me, wrapping his arms around my torso from behind and placing sloppy kisses on my cheek as I place the finishing touches on our breakfast. I turn around and wrap my arms around his neck. His lips connect with mine and we share the intimate moment for a few minutes and pull away.
"Good morning, baby." He breathes releasing me and grabbing his food.
"Morning, Malcolm." I snicker out, grabbing my bowl as well and taking a seat beside him at the island. He lets out a groan, throwing his head back and putting his hands over his face. I snicker at his reaction.
"You only get away with that because you're cute." He states pointedly and we continue to eat our breakfast. We finish and Mac washes the bowls quick while I make sure I have all of my things. Once he's done, we walk out the door and hop into his blacked out G-Wagon. The new car smell evades my nostrils as we begin our drive to school. "So," Mac begins. His hand rests on my thigh, as usual, and he begins to absent mindedly trace circles on it with his thumb, "Homecoming is in a few weeks."
"God. I hope that's not your way of asking me." I groan out, looking at him with raised eyebrows. He chuckles at me and shakes his head.
"Come on, babe. You gotta give me more credit than that. You really think I would just ask you like this?" He questions.
"No, but I never know with you." He shakes his head and gives me a quick kiss as we wait at a red light.
"Have you gotten your dress yet?" He asks, accelerating as the light turns green.
"Yeah. Me and Carson went shopping a few weeks ago. You know her, she's gotta be prepared way ahead of time for stuff like this." I laugh and Mac shrugs, nodding his head signaling he should thought of that.
"Well, what color is it so I can match my tie?" He questions. I give him a pointed look as we pull into our parking spot.
"Nope! You gotta pop the question first." I say with sass as I hop out of the car to meet Carson and Topher. They are standing by Toph's car waiting for us. We all begin our journey to class. As we're walking through the crowded locker lined halls, Anderson stops us.
"Hey guys, party at mine tonight. Hopefully a victory party!" Anderson says while giving the guys bro handshakes and nodding at Carson and I.
"We'll be there, bro." Topher says as we continue on, waving goodbye to Anderson. We make our way into our homeroom, sitting in our usual seats.
"You're coming to the party, right?" Mac questions as he plays with my fingers. I nod in response. "Good because I want to show off my girl." I smile at him as the teacher begins her spiel.

The buzzer sounds off signaling the end of the second quarter and the beginning of halftime. The players head to the locker room as the cheerleaders take the field for their halftime routine. I take this as my queue to run to the concession.
