November 1st, 2009. The day Maya Kaia Johnson was born. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I remember me holding my moms hand while she was giving birth to her. I remember crying after holding this beautiful girl in my arms. Now she's 8 years old. Dang kids grow up fast. I wake up and shake D who's head is on my chest. I start playing with his hair and he groans and I say,
"Wake up babe, it's Maya's birthday."
He sits up and starts to stretch. I trace his abs and he chuckles.
"I get it, I'm beautiful but we got to start decorating."
I roll my eyes and sit up. I kiss him and I get out of bed and get my robe. We quietly walk downstairs and get the balloons and get the dress that we ordered and go upstairs to Maya's room.
After setting that in her room, we go downstairs and start decorating the house and start cooking some black people foods and foods from the movie. We got the gumbo, the jambalaya, the fried chicken, fried shrimp, French fries, burgers, and some beignets from the movie.
It smelt so good in the kitchen when we were done. When we finished cooking, we started decorating and it looked great. I heard Arielle start crying so we both go upstairs and pick her up and kiss her.
"Morning my angel."
We kiss her forehead and as we were walking out her room, we hear Maya scream. I look at D and say,
