DEADLY SCREAM | hot chocolate
"I lie"Stefan Salvatore dashed towards the backdoor of his home with urgency, his eyes filled with worry. He bursted through the door, startling his nephew, Zach, who sat at his desk in the study, writing intently.
Zach looked up in confusion, "What's going on?"
"Someone else was attacked tonight, Zach, and it wasn't me." Stefan said with a rush, before sprinting up the stairs to his room.
He slammed the door closed when he entered, walking toward his desk- but paused he he heard the echoing flutter of wings, and the loud, familiar squawk. His green eyes followed the path of a crow flying from his open balcony, all the way across his room, where it landed on the beam above his head.
His jaw clenched in realization, slowly turning around to the body standing on his balcony, blue eyes piercing into his green ones, "Damon."
The black-haired man dressed in leather held a tight, right-sided smirk, "Hello, brother."
Damon stood for a few more moments, but walked into his younger brothers room when the crow flew by Stefan's head, landing on his balcony once more, squawking before Stefan spoke with a monotonous voice.
"Crows a bit much, don't you think?"
Damon continued to play with the items on his brothers desk with a small smile, "Wait till you see what I can do with the fog." He sent a pointed look up to Stefan, who stared at him blankly, "When'd you get here?"
"Well, I couldn't miss your first day of school." He mocked, playing with the spines of books on the bookshelf behind him, "Your hairs different. I like it."
"It's been 15 years, Damon-"
"Thank god. I couldn't take another day of the nineties. That horrible grunge look? Did not suit you." Damon laughed, sauntering across the room, "Remember, Stefan, it's important to stay away from fads."
Stefan turned along with his brother with his eyebrows creased down in anger, "Why are you here?"
Damon shrugged simply, "I miss my little brother." Stefan shook his head, "You hate small towns. It's boring. There's nothing for you to do."
A smirk crossed the black-haired man as he held heavy eye-contact with his sandy-blonde brother, "I've managed to keep myself busy." Stefan shoved his hands into his pockets, a lecture preparing in his head, "You know, you left that girl alive tonight. That's very clumsy of you."
