Ariella POV

My fist connected to the punching bag, sending it flying back. I swerved my body to the side, hitting it again. I was in our gym in the basement, using bag a bag that once belonged to Daniel. And that fact motivated me to hit harder and harder each time.

A small ping interrupted my session, making me hold the bag still.

Cara
Where are you? I'm at your brother's building and the party is starting in 10 minutes.

I threw my phone back onto the table that held all the tools that are used to fix things. The guilt of me deciding not to go to my best friend's party was slowly building up as I punched the bag, contemplating whether I should go.

"Ari?"

Damien's voice made me falter in my movements. I ignored him, rolling my neck round before hitting the bag repeatedly.

"What are you doing in here? You never come in here?"

I could feel his mocha-brown eyes watching me as I angrily hit the bag.

"Woah kiddo calm down." I hit the bag harder, remembering how my dad used to call me kiddo when I was upset. Hands stopped the bag, making me turn to another bag and start punching it. The ache in my hands were numbing in a way as I focused on other things. Those same hands grabbed my own, stopping me and pulling me away from the bag. "Squirrel. Look at me." My angry eyes glared into his worried ones as I ripped my hands from his grip. "What's wrong?"

I grabbed my phone and walked out, trying my hardest to not lash out. My anger was spiralling out of control. This was unusual. And I'm scared that I might hurt somebody and the idea of me hurting somebody I care about angers me.

"Ari! Ariella!" His yells echoed through the house as I walked into my room. Before I could have the chance to slam the door, Damien walked in. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong?" I said through gritted teeth. I went to my bed, starting to put my folded clothes in my drawers.

Damien raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms. "Ok. Let's move on then. Why aren't you ready for Cara's party. It's starting in 20 minutes."
