An hour later, you went to Amelia's state room.
"Yes? Ms. (L/N)?" She asked, as she put down Arrow's hat
"Captain... There's... Something you need to know..." You muttered, quietly...
"What is it?" She asked, confused
"Scroop was the one who killed Arrow... He cut his lifeline, making him fall to death..."
Amelia's eyes widened. She was shocked.
"I knew it... I've should've never trusted that brute.. I suppose we have to play along with it. As soon as we get to our destination, we drop the act. Am I clear?" She asked, giving you a deadly glare.
"Yes, ma'am."
"Very well. My thanks to you for telling me, dear... Do tell your boyfrie--" she was interrupted by your  fluttered voice. "What!? Oh, no no no... He's just a friend, captain..."
"Oh, that was quite a misunderstanding... Well, uh.. Go tell your friend that I apologize for my actions."
You nodded, walking out of the room.
"Boyfriend... Boyfriend? Why does she think he's my boyfriend? I mean... ..Is there really something between us?" Thoughts about Amelia thinking that Jim is your boyfriend wouldn't leave your head. "Are we really something?" You asked yourself.
You eventually snapped out off it when you saw Jim sitting on the rope ladders. He was playing with a piece of rope, alone...
You ran as quick as you can, you sat beside Jim and hugged him immediately. He didn't hug you back. You were surprised a little..
"Jim, are you o--"
"(Y/N), Oh yeah! It's not like I messed up again or something. (Y/N), An innocent man was lost because of ME! FOR ONCE I THOUGHT I WAS BEING THE PERSON EVERYONE WANTS ME TO BE, BUT IT'S THE SAME AS EVERYTIME! I wouldn't expect you to understand." He yelled in frustration. The sudden attitude caused you to shed tears as you got down to the deck, and walked to the cabin and layed down your hammock.
A minute later, you heard your thoughts saying "(Y/N)! What are you doing!? This is not about you! Jim is upset because he thinks that he's a person that's done nothing in his life but mess up, you know he's better than that! Go back up there and make him see!" You made up your mind, and went up to see Jim. He was still sitting on the rope ladders. You got up again, sat beside him, placed a hand on his cheek and said "Look... Jim, it wasn't your fault!"
"How can it not be!? I'm the one who didn't secure his lifeline! It was me! I wasn't able to.. do the right thing..! as always." His eyes furrowed.
"Please.. If you just listen t-"
Your determined eyes dropped, as you were about to tell Jim that Scroop was plotting something all this time, Silver interrupted.
"It weren't your fault ya know?"
Jim sighed and looked back at the etherium.
"Why, half the crew would be spinnin in that black abyss if it weren't for--" Silver was cut by Jim as he yelled "Look!! DON'T YOU GET IT!? I SCREWED UP! I MEAN, FOR TWO SECONDS, I THOUGHT THAT MAYBE I CAN DO SOMETHING RIGHT BUT... AGH!" He put his hands in his hair in frustration as he leaned on a pole and whispered "Just forget it... Forget it..."
Silver grabbed Jim by his arm and said
"Now you listen to me, James Hawkins!
You got the makings of greatness in ya! But you gotta take the helm and chart your own course! Stick to it! No matter the squalls! And when the time comes you get the chance to really test the cut of your sails, and show what you're made of!"
Silver glanced at you and said
"And you (N/N), Why, look at you! You're like a miracle. A light shimmering in the darkest place of the galaxies. I know that you are worthy of achieving your own dreams, not havin' to wish on a shooting star!"
He then glanced at Jim and said
"Who am I kiddin'? Of course, the both of you are! And ohh... I hope I'm there... Catching some of the light coming out ya that day..." He then let out a little smile, making you shed a tear. Jim leaned on his belly and so you did as well.
He hugged you and Jim for a good 8 seconds while patting on you and Jim's shoulders, saying "It's alright Jimbo, (N/N)... It's alright..."
"You two should get some shut eye! We've got a big day ahead of us!" Silver said, as he sniffed and let you and Jim go.
You and Jim went down to the cabin together.
You layed down your hammock as Jim whispered
"Goodnight (N/N)..."
"Goodnight, Jim..." You responded, blushing.
