Something new

" I need to tell you something" 

She was looking with her eyes twinkling sending shivers to my spine that it was something different from the way that she used to look at me before. She leaned a little closer to me reaching her mouth close to my ear as I could feel her breathing.  A little hint of strawberry was present to her scent that started to linger as i inhaled deeply and with a second she whispered.

" I think I'm starting to fall for you Jeong"  She closed the little gap that we had and her lips were about to plant on mine until I heard a loud buzz coming from my alarm clock. I frowned at the worst interrupted scene while my left arm searched for the off button hoping that my dream could still continue. The alarm was still going and so is my other hand searching until my body tilted to other side assuming that the alarm is just near and I could off it by now but it ended out my body falling onto the ground. I fell on the bed and it led my eyes to fully open due to the pain that I felt with my back handling all the pressure. 

I carefully sat down rubbing the back pain that i felt while I remembered the dream which was really weird. It was Nayeon confessing to me like I had always dreamed back then and It was weird for her to show up in my mind also confessing. I really did move on from her... or did I ....

My thoughts dozed off for a minute and the alarm's continuous buzzing brought me back to my senses. I searched for it and finally turned it off also seeing the time that made my eyes widen in shock. " Shit "  I already knew that I would be late in running to school and trust me It is bad since we have our lab experiment today at class. You wouldn't want to be late in his class because the professor itself is really strict when it comes to time cause for him time is just as gold and being late in his class would ruin your day, well for me it does. Because he adds up 20 more questions to your quiz and that doesn't make any sense right!? 

I took a shower within 3 mins, yep I did that for my Lab quiz purposes, crazy right? well anyway I should still be able to get there just in time. I held the french toast that my mom left on our table  biting it as i headed towards the door closing it with my bag hung on my shoulder. Then  it came onto me while I gently closed the door knob knowing that my Mom just left meaning there's no car to bring me there as much as I really need to right now. Speaking of, I did ignore the sticky note that was placed beside the plate on where the french toast was resting awhile ago and now it's all too late like literally LATE. " Great just.. Great " I threw my hands up stressing about the quiz that I am supposed to have in a few minutes until a brand new car approached me sliding it's windows to see the person inside driving it.

" need a lift " Thankfully It was Nayeon and she was just right on time. In just a whip all of my worries were solved and hopefully we could still catch up. " I sure do, and can we please hurry " I sat on the front seat locking up the seat belt as we proceed. Luckily there was no traffic to hinder me from that quiz and eventually I started to calm myself. " You seem nervous" She asked . " Oh uhm.. it's just that I had something to do and I shouldn't be late but here I am" She giggled and I began to notice that Nayeon didn't had a car yet, because she had always been escorted by her ex e's who had expensive cars parked in front of their house. " Is this your car? I haven't seen you driving this before" .  She just gave me a smile then later on replying. " My Aunt gave it to me as a present" 

" Wow, That's amazing... I mean, really I'm happy for you "  Well the car is truly amazing and it suits her and also noticing that she was also wearing the bracelet that I gave her as a present.  A smile escaped from my lips with a little tint of red on my cheek. She did love it.

After class my next destination was to the cafe that me and Mina usually meet because I really miss their coffee so much. I sat on the empty chair right at the corner while I waited for my order as I used my phone to entertain myself. " Hey" A short haired girl began to approach me and It was one and only Myoui Mina, my best friend. " Hi" She looked stunning as always but remembering the scene back then, caused another pain on my chest. I faked a smile as I greet her back and apparently she sat down on the chair that was across me. " can we talk " I knew that she was desperate, we've been distant for weeks and our friendship seemed to disconnect. We knew that we had a lot to catch up and our feelings were just a burden that kept us being distant to each other. 

" I know that we haven't talked these past weeks and I just wanted to say I'm sorry " I knitted my brows, I knew that she wasn't in the wrong more like I was at fault instead.

" No uhm.. I should be sorry, I mean I... ignored you and I left you hanging" I always had a soft spot for Mina even though I'm still in pain because she never knew the reason why I became distant. "Sorry for being an asshole Mina.... really.. I still act like a child and I'm sorry for showing that side of me" She gave me a smile and we were both hitting on the right direction.

" I've missed you Jeong " She suddenly said with her eyes staring right into mine with full of sincerity.

" I've missed you too " We didn't like to argue as much as possible because we both knew that it was childish and it wasn't the key to our distance. 

We had always been concern for each other and deep inside we knew that we felt the same thing that it wasn't right for the both of us to keep this going and Mina approaching me today was just perfect. It was a perfect day to restore the broken pieces that we've shattered but it was only for her and not for me. We ended up hugging each other as we realized how our feelings for each other became strong and complicated that it turned out to be like this. 

" I'm still in love with you Jeongyeon... and I'm not taking it back"  She whispered onto my ear sending shivers to my spine. We parted our hug and my cheeks flushed red. I was seeing a new side of Mina and somehow she changed. She became more bold and aggressive. 

" And what if I said that I liked you too " Those words escaped from my mouth with full of courage. I could see her face turning red because of my reply. She tried covering her face with her delicate fingers hiding off from embarrassment. " are you serious right now? " She still managed to say, her palms topped on her face to prevent herself from getting heard. " I'm serious... " I took her left hand so that I could see her face clearly. 

" Mina I'm serious... I think that..I like you too"
