Chapter 4

I had packed my stuff and got on the train. Now I just sunk down in the train seat, and waited for the train to go. I watched people walk by outside the window, and imagined what their life was like. I also wondered if any of these people would end up sitting next to me on the train, and then I hope the would not.

«Hello?» I asked. I had a bad habit of not saying my name or asking any specific questions when taking the phone.

«Hi. Is this Amy speaking?» It was a familiar mans, voice in the other end, but I could not place him.

«Yes? Why?» Ha. An actual question. I will admit I was proud of my self.

«Yes, it's Cameron Hale here. From Starbucks» It was cameron, I knew I had heard that voice before.

«Oh hi Cameron, what's up?» I felt a little embarrassed for asking that. But shit happens.

«I just wanted to inform you that your interview went well, and we want to offer you a job here at Starbucks!» WHAT? My interview did not go well. Did I get the job? What?

«Seriously? Me?» I was confused. I totally screwed up my interview.

«Yes. Cause your name is Amy Harris right? Long brown hair, brown eyes?» Ha-ha. The joking tone when he spoke was almost driving me crazy.

«I think that's me, kind of boring, lost twin sister?» I smiled for my self.

«I think that's you, hahaha, well anyway. Is it possible for you to get here at eleven on monday for your first shift?» Short notice, but I could do that?

«Ehh, yeah, sure! Do I have to wear something special or just whatever I want?» I did not know anything about this job.

«Oh, this is a little bit tricky on this short notice, but as long as you have it all by the end of the week I think it will do.. So you have to use a white shirt, polos are the most popular and practical ones. Though you can use any other shirt too, as long as its white. Yeah and it have to be tucked in your pants at all time, so even is you raise your arms above your head, it will stay tucked. Black pants, and all black or brown shoes, closed toe. That means that they have to be black laced too.» I know it's much, but you understood it right?

«Yes, I think I'v got what I need actually. Black vans, with black laces, but with white soles, can I use those?» I hoped so, because they were my favorite shoes.

«Yes, yes, of course! Your first week you will be learning everything. Your 'shift will be from 11 am to 4 pm, with half an hour lunch break at 1 pm. Your usual shift later will be either from 8 am to 4 pm or from 12.30 pm - 8.30 pm. But I'll get in detail with that later on» He was speaking so fast, that he messed up he's sentences, but I understood, so there were no problems.

«Is there somebody that I am supposed to ask for? That I am gonna follow or something?» I was not going to learn it all by my self was I?

«Oh yeah, her name is Molly. Molly Marin. But just ask for Molly, she is very nice. Very good with what she does» He seemed stressed, but I did not bother to ask.

«Well okay than, monday at eleven!» I was trying to end the conversation, and it seemed to work.

«Yes, thats right! See you then! Have a nice day, bye!» Well that went fast, maybe he was the one trying to end the conversation?

«yeah, see you later. Thanks, you too, bye!» And he hung up.

I had to get up now, cause this was my stop. I took my bag and got of. I sat down on a bench when I got in to town, and called my grams for her to come pick me up.

When I sat waiting for my grandma to come pick me up, my mom responded to my text.

«Okay honey, have fun. I wont forget the meeting. How did your interview go las week? You did not respond to my calls D:» Mom was in this smiley face faze, it scared me. I had not responded to any of her calls, because I felt that I had screwed up the whole interview, and did not know how to tell her. I did not want to disappoint her. Not that it mattered now, I got the job.

«Went fine. Got the job. Starting already monday :)» I put a smiley face on the end, just to make her happy.

Then my grandma picked me up.
