25 years in the past, that was, when Mrs.Mytla was still dependent and lived with her parents, they lived in their ancestral family village, which was an hour away from the city Bangalore. Her family was her father, mother and two elder brothers. A Ms.Mytla, who was at the tender age of 19, was at the completion of her schooling, the last year. She was a vivacious teenager who had been the same always. Ever since, she had learnt how to communicate, everyone remembered her to be always bubbling with energy and happiness that she just seemed to absorb from even the darkest of places, for her family's situation wasn't the most homey and loving for her.

Her father was a farmer who owned a small piece of land, one acre. And her mother assisted her father, with the manual work that the plot required. They lived in a small hut, that wouldn't have needed more than 1000 rupees to run every month. Mrs.Mytla and her brothers, unlike all the other children in their village, attended school till the 12th grade. Mrs.Mtyla's brothers were respectively, 5 and 7 years elder to her.

During her 12th grade, when she was the brightest girl in her class, always having had scored above 90 in every subject, she rose to make a choice that would haunt her, her whole life.

Ms.Mytla then, on the 5th of Aug, 1989, like any other day was walking from school to the bus stop from where she would ride a bus back home, when a boy from her practical class had been following her. The boy's school and the girl's school had combined practical sessions, since it proved expensive to conduct it separately. He followed her, from school to the bus stop. The road that,a then Ms.Mytla, took was almost deserted. That too, was no surprise, it was like any other day.

He walked behind her, not visible even if she had turned back.

When Ms.Mytla reached the bus stop and was waiting for the bus to come, pick her up and take her back to her village, he finally, decided to be seen.

He walked out the bushes, he was taking a hide behind, and walked on, still not seen, to reach the spot he had planned to surprise her at. She saw him, and smiled wide to the measure of the width of her face. He was, Gapo, her classmate, who she knew quite well, but still whose intentions at that moment, she hadn't the wind of.

He stood there, for a second or two, replying a smile back. He knelt, put out his hand and said,'' I love you, Mytla. Will you marry me?''
