Not His Typical Girl

Chapter 5

CHACE's POV

It was Monday morning and I was an hour late for work. I walked to the elevator on the lobby and tapped the 25th floor button. I wasn't supposed to use the employees' elevator but since my private elevator is under repair, I don't have a choice.

"Oh God! Wait! Hold on!" She rushed her way to the elevator but the door started to close so I had to stopped it using my hand.

She was standing in front of me and all I can smell is her angelic scent. We were squeezed inside the elevator then suddenly she's about to fall from her knees after her heels cracked. I was able to gripped her by the waist to prevent her from stumbling. But when she turned to face me I was fascinated by her beautiful ocean blue eyes and in that moment I felt something familiar. I think I know her or saw her somewhere. I don't know.

Today is a busy day. Lots of applicants. I had Emily to post on the company website that the company has openings. The company is expanding and we need to hire more people on our new projects overseas and in the country.

I sat on my office chair as soon as I arrived inside. I felt an excitement when I saw her entered the waiting area. She's one of our many applicants today.

I was standing in my floor-to-ceiling length glass window, mesmerized by the overlooking view of the New York City when Emily knocked on the door of my office.

"Mr. Morris, Ms. Hamilton is here." Emily uttered from the outside.

I was still standing in front of the overlooking view of NYC when she entered the room hesitantly. She wasn't wearing her heels which she carries in her hands. I could see her reflection from the bookshelf near my office table. She seemed embarrassed.

The very first moment she entered my office after Emily introduced her name, I know her. I know she's her. I knew it and I didn't anticipated her coming in my office applying for a job.
