Chapter 3

Pidge's pov

It's been a couple of days and Zaya was still in the healing pod. I was leaning against it and I was doing a few things on my laptop. Hunk comes in once in awhile to give me food other than that people leave me alone. I was too worried about Zaya. I know we haven't known each other very long but I feel a connection with her. I just can't place it. I closed my laptop and got up and put my hand on her pod.

"Please pull through." When I said that the pod opened and Zaya fell out. I quickly caught her. "Woah hey! Zaya?" I asked softly. She groaned and looked around.

"Wh-Where am I?"

"You're on the ship safe." I said softly. Zaya groaned a bit. "Come on let's get you sat down." I got Zaya to sit down and Hunk walked in with a plate of space goo.

"Zaya!" Hunk surprisingly dropped the food and ran over to us.

"I think we should get her to her room." Hunk said softly. "She still needs to sleep."

"I'm okay." Zaya said with a yawn. I shook my head.

"My room is closer let's just take her to mine." I said quickly. Hunk nodded and picked up Zaya. We went to my room and Hunk laid her down, he left the room quietly. I sighed and covered her up, I went to leave but Zaya grabbed my hand. I looked back at her. "Zaya?"

"C-Can you stay with me?" I smiled and nodded. She moved over and I got into bed with her. She pulled me towards her to where we were cuddling. I smiled a bit and slowly fell asleep.

Zaya's pov

Pidge and I fell asleep. I held her close, it felt right. I felt like I was sleeping for a long time. I was really warm too, I smiled and pulled her closer like that could happen. I unconsciously kissed her forehead, or what I thought was her forehead. Till I realize that they were soft and they kissed me back. I slowly opened my eyes and saw that Pidge and I were kissing on the lips! She opened her eyes and I pulled away and both of our faces were beat red.

"Pi-Pidge?" I said softly. She just got up and left the room. I just sat there on the bed. Why? Why didn't I wake up sooner?! Should I go after her? What if she's mad at me? I got up and walked out of the room. I'll just go back to mine.

"Zaya perfect!" Lance ran over to me. "Come with me!" I yelped when Lance grabbed my wrist and pulled me into a room. There was a huge window and you could see a lot of space.

"Woah!" I said in amazement. "This is amazing."

"You think so?" I nodded.

"I'm going to go to my room and rest." Lance nodded.

"Alright, I just wanted to show you this." I nodded and walked out of the room. I went down to my room. I walked in and it was dark. I'm not sure why but I was hoping that Pidge was in here waiting for me, but she wasn't. I sighed and turned on the lights. I sighed and just started to work out. I just gotta get that kiss out of my mind.

I walked out of the shower and my room was still empty. I felt my heart sink and loneliness washed over me. Why was I feeling this way? I've never felt this way before. I got changed into just some clothes. (down below). I sat on my bed and sighed softly. Maybe she does hate me.

"Team Voltron to the bridge!" Allura yelled over the intercom. I quickly stood up and ran out of my room. I ran to the bridge and Allura was standing there. The whole team came running in. Pidge came in and looked at me but quickly looked away and stood by Hunk while I stood by Shiro and Keith. Maybe she does hate me. I looked at the ground as Allura was telling us about how we were going to this planet to establish a treaty. We nodded and I stopped Shiro.
