The only thing predictable about life is its unpredictability ~ Ratatouille
I didn't drive a car to the fields since our house was walking distance from the field where Wesley played. Because of that, Calum offered to drive us out to lunch. Right when I was about to decline, Wesley eagerly ran to Calum's car and hopped in. I sighed.
"Sorry for intruding like this," I told him earnestly while bowing my head a little. He grinned down at me. Taking me by surprise and ruffling my hair, Calum started walking to his car, following behind my brother.

Silently driving along the road, I jumped when my loud ringtone started to go off.
Walk my way, Mrs. All American! Say- I cut it off right there. My cheeks were blazing as I took a glance at Calum and saw that he was looking at me with his eyebrows raised. My phone displayed Cas as the caller. I groaned mentally and picked up the phone call that had 'imminent doom' written all over it.
"What is it now, Cas?" I sighed into the receiver. I felt Calum glance at me, but continued driving without saying a word. Wesley had met Cas on several occasions and giggled at the look on my face. He was more-or-less in love with her, and her crazy prank ideas.
"I know where you're going, and I'm going to be waiting for you," She spoke ominously. I rolled my eyes, even though she couldn't see me.
"What are you talkin-" And she hung up. Cursing her mentally, I put the phone back into my jean pockets.
"Hey, what did she say?" Wesley exclaimed excitedly, jumping in his seat and leaning forward to hear my reply. I glared at my brother through the rear view mirror. He shrunk back in his seat and crossed his arms over his chest. Calum glanced at me once more through the corner of his eyes. "So who is this Cas person?" He question. I sighed and rubbed my temples.
"Cas is Raina's best friend, an angel from above, the light of the world!-" I snorted and Wesley then turned to glare at me. Calum lightly laughed. "She's the devil incarnate, that Cas," I grumbled out and turning my head to look at Wesley, I told him, "And she's also way to old for you!" Calum laughed again at our exchange.
"She's sounds like an interesting person, to have stolen the heart of a man like Wesley," Calum teased. Wesley blushed a bright red as he turned to stare out the window. Because of the phone call, the once uncomfortable silence had turned into boisterous laughter and light-hearted teasing and bantering.

I stared at the one floor building in suspicion. Whether or not Cas was inside, I was about to figure out.
Calum strode up beside me and relayed some information. "Some of my friends are going to join us. Is that okay?" He lightly scratched the back of his neck and when Wesley joined us, we continued our way into the restaurant. To answer his question, I smiled lightly and nodded, showing my consent to the situation. We walked in the doors, when suddenly, we were ambushed by the enemy.
"RAINA!" Cas had lunged at me, and together we fell to the floor in a messy heap of limbs. Still laying on the floor, Cas continued to hug me and roll around. Grumbling a bit at first, I gave in and hugged my best friend back with a small smile adorning my face. I guess she just had that affect on people.
Cas was tall, and musclely (I had no idea where they came from. She's the laziest person I have ever met) with dark blonde hair and natural chocolate brown highlights. Her blue eyes always seemed to sparkle with that glint in her eyes meaning either she has a new 'marvelous' plan or she just finished a prank. Right now, Cas was wearing black and blue nike shorts, a pool colored tank top and nike tennis shoes (of the blue variety). I guess you could say her favorite color was blue.
