Edward
I walk out and 'close' the door behind me. Connor turns to me and smirks.
"Friend huh? I thought y'all were more than that."
"We are."
"Mhm ok."
I sigh and walk off down the hallway to the main room, so that I can sit down and hopefully relax a little. Get things out of my head.
"Ill be in my room working on something if you need me." Connor calls out from behind me.
"Whatever."
A few hours later, I'm sitting at one of the booths in the old restaurant, reading a magazine I found on the floor. I sigh.
"Bored? We can go kill some people." Gretel's voice sounds from behind me. I turn.
"No thanks. I'm not in the killing mood today. How's Hailey?"
"Good. We just brushed her hair and let her put on makeup." I give her a look. "Yes we still have makeup. Girls can't live without it." Gretel rolls her eyes. "Wanna see her or not?"
"Sure."
Hailey steps out and frankly, I like her better without makeup. But I'm not about to say that. Gretel and Lael might like how they do makeup and they know how to shoot.
Hailey looks worried. "Does it look ok?"
I smile at her. "Yes. It looks great."
She smiles back. "Yay!"
Gretel gives a satisfied look and claps her hands. "Ok. Lael, Connor and me are gonna go spy on the FF. Wanna come?"
"I don't think that's a good idea, Gretel." Lael walks out from behind her. Gretel's smirk falls into a frown. "And why is that?"
"They don't even know how to shoot a gun. Let alone kill someone if needed."
"Oh yeah. I forgot about that."
I didn't want to kill anyone. I knew that. But I wanted to come along, and I could tell Hailey did too. She spoke up. "I wanna go. Give me a knife. I'll be fine."
Lael and Gretel look at each other and shrug.
"Ok fine." Lael turns to me. "Edward?"
"Uh sure." I stand up from my chair, and walk over to Hailey.
Gretel smiles. "Great." She turns away from us. "CONNOR! WANNA COME SPY ON THE FFs?"
"SURE!"
Great. Connor gets to come.
Gretel looks back at us. "Let's go!"
