"Oh my god- I'm so sorry! I don't know what I was thinking! I-" Mia's words were mumbled as she flung herself back against the wall, my lips missing the soft solace of hers.

"It's okay- I-"

"It's not okay. I just threw myself at you and I-"

"Mia, stop." My voice was stern, cutting off her rambling. "I kissed you too. I just- It would feel like I was taking advantage."

"I get that. God, I'm so stupid though. I finally stop being such a bitch to you then desperately come on to you-"

"It wasn't like that." I giggle, trying to ease the tension. "However, I am flattered." My words fail to get a smile from her, her cheeks blushing in embarrassment. "Hey, seriously. It's okay. I was into it as much as you."

"Y- you were?"

"You were the one who pulled away." The smirk on my face goes from innocent to mischievous, inching slightly forward. "I had no objections."

Like magnets, our faces move significantly closer, soft lips brushing together. "We shouldn't."

"We shouldn't." I confirm, neither of us attempting to move away. "But-" Before I could even make up some reason as to why, her lips were pressed against my own. Although my position on the floor was still, my foot still throbbing and preventing me from getting closer, she used it her advantage. Rising to her knees, her fingers twisting in my locks as she tilted her head ever so slightly.

"-QUICK! Get in! I'm soaked." Abi's high pitched voice whined, the door swinging open and allowing a flood of water to wash in. "Hai!"

Like my touch had sent an electric shock through her body, Mia threw herself away from me and turned to see the other two residents coming in, soaked from head to toe. "What the hell are you two doing on the floor?"

"I- Um-" Mia gulped, stumbling over words for excuses as I sighed.

"I fell. Someone didn't do the floors correctly and I went straight on my ass." Abi had the decency to look the slightest bit guilty as I glared, playfully. "But seriously, I think my leg is broken but we can't get out to the hospital."

"Oh shit! Demi, I'm so so sorry!" Abi immediately spilled into apologies, ignoring Mia's crumpled figure on the floor. "Oh shit-"

"Don't worry about it. You didn't mean to fuck up the floors." I laughed. "And I'm clumsy as fuck so. Guess we're both at fault."

"As soon as this rain dies down, I'll take you straight to the hospital." She promises, inspecting the bruised leg. "Can we move you into the living room now Hai's here too?"

"Um, sure. Just be careful." Already wincing as the two girls rushed to my side, once again ignoring Mia and her saddening expression at the ignorance of the other two. Both girls hoisted me up, holding my leg out in front of me while the other hung loose and escorted me straight on to the couches in the room. "Hey, go easy on Mia."

"Why? Has the witch suddenly-"

"Abi." I gently warned, suddenly feeling a lot more sympathetic to the girl. And not because I spent the past five minutes making out with her... "We talked and well, she's been great. She came straight down when I fell."

"It's the least she owes you." Hai rolls her eyes as I raise an eyebrow, making her sigh. "Fine. I'll go tell her to join you. Come on Abs, let's grab snacks since we're housebound for the next few hours." The two disappeared into the kitchen as I relaxed back into the cushions, letting my leg rest on the table.

"Beats the cold and tiled floor, huh?" Opening an eye, I watch as Mia's figure slinks into the room, almost nervously.

"Much better." She softly smiles, perching on the other end of the sofa. "Mia, about what happened out there-"

"It's okay Demi, you don't have to say anything-"

"But-"

"Seriously forget it." Her tone is slightly harsher and before I can try and interrupt once more, the two others are rushing back in, armed with chips and chocolate. It's going to be a long night.

-

24 hours later.

"Dem! Did you take your tablets?!"

"On it." I yell back to Hai, limping down the stairs to grab the medication. Once the rain eased off, Abi drove me to the hospital where the doctors examined my leg and foot. It was nothing but a fracture and he'd prescribed me some medication that I had to take for the rest of the week and wrapped my leg up to keep it in place and protected. Oh and I had an ugly ass boot now adorning my foot.

Mia hadn't said a word to me since we kissed, barely acknowledging my presence as she fell asleep on the love seat in the room, not long after the two arrived home. Since then, she'd been M.I.A as usual.

Something inside me was going crazy, whether it was butterflies of excitement or nerves I don't know. I just needed to see her. To show her the kiss meant something. To tell her how much of a connection I felt with her when she finally let me in.

Limping my way into the kitchen, a slight smile on my face at the thought of her was soon crushed when I witnessed the last thing I wanted to.

Her body was barely perched on the table, a pair of masculine hands roaming her body greedily as she allowed it. Rough lips attacking her neck, sucking on the skin like a leech while she seemingly gazed off into her own little world. She didn't seem into it but she wasn't stopping it either.

"Oh- Demi." His words came out breathless, a disgusting yet smug look on his face. "Didn't see you there."

"I- I could tell." Mia's eyes regretfully met my own, softening when she saw the hurt.

"I heard about your leg. You okay?"

"I'm fine." Clenching my fists, I looked away from the couple and carried on about my business. I was so stupid to believe she'd changed.

"You're taking medication?" Mason couldn't quite hide the shock in his voice.

"Yeah, why?"

"Isn't that dangerous? For you and the house because- like- you know-"

"No, I don't know." Turning round to face him, annoyance written all over my face.

"Well, you're all like addicts-"

"MASON!" Mia gasped, slapping the skin of his upper arm in anger.

"Ex-addicts, actually." I corrected. "But if you weren't ignorant, then you'd know that."

"Woah, chill. How was I meant to know what to call you girls? It's not like I called you crack whores." He laughs, making Mia just sigh and look away, disappointedly.

"Well, it's a start talking about us like we're normal 'girls' and not defining us by our past. Asshole." I spat, mentally giving myself a pat on the back for not giving him a piece of my mind. But if I started, I wouldn't stop. Especially when Mia was there. "Oh and I prefer the term former crack whore."

"Fuck babe, what's got her panties in a twist? Maybe she needs a bit of what you got-" I heard him snigger as I left, finally addressing his 'coke-whore' girlfriend. "Because clearly it works wonders on you, you can't get enough. Round 4?"

Here comes the vomit.
