"Am I still watching? Of course, I'm still fucking watching-"
"HUH? What?!" Jumping awake, I look over to see the other two girls staring over at me with a smirk, their eyes glancing downwards. "What-" Gazing down, I finally start to feel the ache in my right side and I can't help but smile when I see Mia cuddled into me, sleeping peacefully.
"You two look... cute." Hai observes, raising a perfectly arched brow. "Too cute."
"How much did I miss?"
"Only half the god damn season-" Abi moans, launching into a description of what had recently happened. However, I was too busy basking in the feel of Mia's comfort.
"Should we wake her?" She questions, still staring at the brunette in my arms.
"N- No, it's okay. It's still pretty early, she'll wake up soon."
"She's awfully tired for someone who's spent most of the day in her bedroom."
"She-" Hesitating, I sigh as I realise I couldn't really hide it from the girls. They'd given me nothing but the truth when it came to Mia, maybe she weren't ready to tell them but they deserved the same. "Her and Mason broke up, it was pretty rough." While Abi's eyes got sad, Hai only turned more suspicious and I knew her mind was overworking, trying to work out the two of us.
"As much as I couldn't stand him, I feel bad for her." Abi pouted. "It's for the best though."
"Completely. She knows that deep down but she's just a little lost right now."
"We'll get her out of it."
"Of course we will, we'll always have her back." And a little bit more.
-
"Morning!"
"Morning." I yawn, reaching over and snagging Hai's coffee from the counter top.
"Where's Mia?"
"In bed- I mean, I assume. I haven't seen her since last night." Note to self: you're the worst liar.
"Oh Dem, give it up. What the hell is going on with you two?"
"Nothing-"
"You really can't lie for shit."
"Fine! I don't know, it's complicated."
"But there is something going on?"
"I- I guess so. I don't know. I like her, Hai."
"Oh Dem." She sighs, rubbing her tired arms with her palms. "Are you sure? I love Mia but the girl can be trouble."
"I get that but she's worth it. This isn't some crush I've developed last night."
"Sit Lovato, you're going to tell me everything." Obeying her orders, I fall into the wooden seat at the table. "Go."
"Well I guess it started the night of the storm when you and Abi were out the house. We ended up having this bonding session and she explained everything and it all made sense as to why she behaved the way she did-"
"Why?"
"That is most definitely not my place to say. But anyway, that night we kissed and it was amazing. I actually felt something and I thought maybe she did two but the next morning, I walked into the kitchen to find her and Mason nearly going at it on the table."
"Ew, I eat my damn breakfast on that table."
"They were clothed." I defend, with a smirk. "But we ended up clashing the next day. She helped me with my leg and I went on a rant at her about Mason and she completely broke down. Again, later that night we kissed but I stopped it and told her I wouldn't be the other woman."
