The next day,Pinky watched lovingly as Shivaay and Annika left the mansion together for office.He would drop her to her office on his way,every morning.

Ever since Annika entered her son's life,Pinky was as happy as a mother could be.Till date she remembers the day when Shivaay introduced Annika to her.That day had explained the slow change in him that was evident those days.

Annika has been a true angel in his life,in all senses.Not only did she possess Shivaay's heart,but she won all of their hearts as well.

Annika was more like a daughter to Pinky and she knew that it would be like that right after their first meet.

"Earth to Pinky!Where are you lost?",Shakti asked bringing Pinky out of her reverie.

"Erm,nowhere.I just slipped into old times",Pinky spoke as she sipped her green tea.

Shakti sat beside her on the couch and arched a brow."Old times?"

"Yeah,just reminiscing Shaktiji".

Shakti shook his head as he tried to gauge what his wife was talking about.

Pinky spoke further,"Do you remember the day when Shivaay told us about Annika?I still remember the look on his face,he was so excited.I've never seen him that excited before that day."

"What about that?",Shakti asked confused.

"I was just thinking,so many things changed after that.They're so good at trailing each other's coat.",Pinky smiled as she spoke making Shakti chuckle as well.

"That's true.Both of them are,what is that Mom says,takkar ke ishqbaaaz."

"And Annika keeps him happy as well,I never thought my son could be this happy.It's like his old brooding self is lost somewhere.",Pinky stated taking another sip of her tea.

"Not really,Pinky.You should visit Oberoi Enterprises some day to see that.It's still intact there.",Shakti laughed.

"That's not what I meant,you're annoying me now.",Pinky spoke as she settled her now empty cup on the coffee table.

"But seriously,I do remember the day you're talking about.When he came to our room along with Maa,that too late night to talk about this girl he was seeing,his exact words",Shakti smiled reminiscing. "Who would have known that our son would have a girl like Annika in his life.Like chalk and cheese."

"And we were so shocked to hear that.I would have not believed it if not for the excited look on Shivaay's face.",Pinky remarked excitedly."I still remember every detail..

Shakti along with Kalyani gave confused looks to Pinky as Shivaay paced back and forth.

"Are you even going to tell us why are you walking around in our room at this hour?",Shakti broke the silence.

Shivaay looked up and smiled sheepishly surprising them three.

"Billu,are you alright?",Dadi asked worriedly.

Shivaay smiled as he knelt down in front of Dadi who was seated on the bed along with Pinky and Shakti.

"Well,I want you guys to listen carefully and please no dramatic reactions,especially Mom",he gave a prior warning making Pinky narrow her eyes.

"Well,the thing is..I actually am..you know..",Shivaay trailed scratching the back of his head.

"Shivaay,you're talking gibberish,I hope you know that.",Shakti spoke impatiently.

"Shaktiji,let him.Hayye,my ten year old Billu surfaced after so long",Pinky spoke lovingly.

Shivaay growled looking at his parents."Will you both let me complete?please?",he added easing his tone.

Shivaay took a deep breath.Taking Dadi's hand in his,he closed his eyes and spoke."I want to talk about this girl I'm seeing",he spoke hurriedly opening his eyes at once trying to gauge their reactions.

All three of them looked at each confused."You see girls everyday,don't you?",Pinky asked carefully.Getting a disappointed look from Shivaay,Pinky gasped."Shivaay,are you talking about the other..?I can't believe this."

"What kind of a question is that Mom?I just said that I'm dating a girl,what's so hard to believe in that?".Shivaay stated excitedly while Kalyani gasped loudly,Shakti on the other hand had his expression intact.

"Guys,this is not the expected reaction.Can y'all please speak up,this is getting scary.",Shivaay spoke looking at them with a worried face.

Shakti spoke finally."Shivaay,It's kind of hard for us to believe that you're dating a girl."

"What do you mean,Dad?"

"You always say that you're not interested in marriage and now-"

Kalyani interrupted Shakti before he could complete."Leave that aside now,puttar,what's her name?Hai kaun yeh ladki jisne mere billu ko ishqbaaaz baanaya?"

Shivaay grinned making all three of them smile.Pinky hugged her son that very momen."I'm so happy.If I start talking then you'll complaim that I'm being dramatic.Ab bata?We need to know everything about her."

Shivaay stood up."Well,her name is Annika.We've been dating for almost six months now.",he spoke sheepishly shocking them.

"What?Six months and you're informing us now?!",Pinky exclaimed.

"Mom,I've never dated anyone before nor did she.We needed time to get to know each other.",Shivaay spoke with a smile.

"I now get all those smiles and snickers looking at your phone in between meetings and parties.",Shakti spoke making Shivaay

"Accha fine,when are we meeting her?",Kalyani spoke cupping Shivaay's face.

"Soon,Dadi."

"What soon,huh?I want to meet my bahu tomorrow first thing.",Pinky spoke authoritatively.

Pinky could bet that she saw a hue of pink on Shivaay's cheek on the mention of 'bahu' but kept that for later.

"Bahu?Mom,please.I'll ask Annika if she's okay with meeting you guys tomorrow.But please don't say this in front of her.You can call her Annika,that's fine.",he spoke hurriedly getting out of the room before confirming that they are happy with his decision.

Pinky smiled ear to ear while talking about it.From that day onwards,there was no looking back.With Annika's entry in their lives,things went unimaginably well.Shivaay's sudden change in behaviour was explained,a better version of Shivaay was visible.Pinky loved Annika the first day itself.She did not miss the goofy smile on Shivaay's face as he introduced Annika to each and every member of his family.

Not only did she win Pinky's heart as a daughter in law,but also a daughter.Pinky was proud of Annika now.She's nothing less than a daughter to Pinky and hence had full faith that Annika could handle anything.

Annika was her friend,her spa partner,the perfect daughter to Pinky.

Annika's entry in their lives was indeed a blessing to Pinky.
