Chapter 7

"Remember the french visa me and Annika applied for a month back?",Shivaay initiated a conversation,gaining everyone's attention around the dining table.

"The one which you lied to Annika babhi about?",Rudra spoke from across the table gaining a glare from Shivaay.

"That was not loud enough Rudy,why don't you try again so that it reaches Annika's ear up in our room?",Shivaay spoke sarcastically making others chuckle.

"Bhabhi must be asleep by now,she's got an event tomorrow.But you wanted it to be a surprise for bhabhi right?"

"Yes,Rudra.I lied to Annika that it's for a business purpose for the very same reason.I was planning actually planning a trip so that we could loosen a bit."

As he said that,the family looked pleased,especially Pinky.She've been complaining about their schedule all these while and she couldn't be happier.Shivaay and Annika hardly spare any time for each other as they seem always busy with one or the other work."That's good.Atleast now you're considering our complaints.You both work way too much,spare some time for yourselves as well.",there came the typical motherly  advice from Pinky.

Shivaay shook his head before nodding in understanding.He further explained that he was actually planning this trip in two days as it is Annika's birthday week.

"So we won't be celebrating bhabhi's birthday this time?",Rudra asked in disappointment.He was actually looking forward to Annika's birthday since they've been celebrating it together ever since Shivaay and Annika started dating.Rudra was closest to Annika amongst them all and Shivaay knew it too well.

"Erm Rudy,we can still celebrate together after we come back or do you want me to cancel this?",Shivaay asked in amusement but deep inside he loved the bond shared by his baby brother and Annika.

"You will do no such thing,bhaiya.You hardly give my bhabhi any surprises.I'll manage this time.",Rudra spoke loudly making Shivaay raise his hand in surrender.

"Guilty as charged.Also,I would like to change it,alright?So none of you all will spill it to Annika.Do not even mention about it,she should not even get the slightest hint of it until we reach the airport.",Shivaay said with a clear plan in his mind.

He wanted Annika's birthday to be special.He wanted to be with Annika this entire week as they hardly get any quality time these days and the family understood that very well.

All of them agreed readily to help Shivaay in his plan before calling it a night.

The next morning,Annika was up and all set to leave for her  event  by the time Shivaay woke up.She gave him a sweet cheek kiss before getting out of the room hurriedly.

Shivaay called Annika's parents after freshening up,informing them about the trip.Not that he had to,but he was kind of used to informing her parents before taking her out back when they were dating.

Her dad always used to intimidate him,her Dad,Mr.Harsh Mittal,didn't care he was Shivaay Singh Oberoi.He was just back from Harvard and was working under Shakti and Tej back then and Harsh was one of their business rival.He smiled reminiscing the time when he had to take her dad's permission even for the simplest of things concerning Annika.

He also called up Annika's PA asking her to clear up her schedule for the next week,but he knew that she had no important work the coming week.

He had precisely gone through her schedule before planning everything.Her work was equally important to him.He wasn't one of those husbands who gave no importance to the better half's work.

After breakfast,he called out Gauri and Bhavya  asking their help regarding  Annika's packing.
And currently,all three of them were in Shivaay and Annika's room.

"But bade bhaiyya,why are you not telling us about the destination?How are we supposed to pack Annika bhabhi's clothes without knowing where are you both going?",Gauri asked as she rummaged through Annika's closet  while  Bhavya nodded in agreement.

"I'll let you all know when the time comes,patience Gauri.Also,don't worry about the clothes,all you  have to do is transfer the clothes from the shopping bags placed there along with some night wear from the wardrobe, necessary items and toiletries.",Shivaay spoke as he pointed towards the shopping bags placed in the corner.

Bhavya could now say that Shivaay was not only the best businessman but also the best husband."No wonder Annika bhabhi is head over heels for you bhaiyya.",Bhavya complimented making Shivaay blush slightly.Not that he couldn't take compliments well,but when it came to something regarding Annika's feeling towards him,he was a goner.

He excused himself and started walking out of the room as he received a call.Before leaving the room,Shivaay called out Gauri.,"Also Gauri,not pranks like last time.The bag should only have necessary items.And by necessary I mean,ONLY necessities.",Shivaay warned making Gauri giggle while Bhavya looked up in confusion.

"What is it bhabhi?",Bhavya asked Gauri in confusion as Shivaay left the room.

"Nothing much!I actually did them both a favour.Bhalayi ka toh zamaana hi nahi raha!",she sighed dramatically.

Okay,I know I disappeared,but I had to guys!

Also,I was planning to write more about their relationship and dating phase with each chapter.I hope that's fine :)

This was shivika-less,but the upcoming would be fun! :P
