Chapter 8

First after ages.I truly enjoyed writing this!Not proofread,by now you all would be aware that I'm too lazy to do that ;-)

Omkara have always been the observant one amongst the brothers.He've always had a deep outlook to things in general.None of them knew each other like Omkara them understood them all.Be it the untold pain in Dadi's eyes or the silly mischief in Rudra's mind,he knew it all!He could even read the supposedly 'unreadable' Shivaay Singh Oberoi.If there's someone after Annika who've mastered that art,it's gotta be Om.

Maybe that's the reason he didn't buy Shivaay's decision to surprise Annika,there was something more to it.Even when the sudden decision seemed as normal as it could possibly be to everyone else and extremely romantic to his chirpy wife Gauri,Omkara was not fully convinced.He would have let it go if not for the worried look on Shivaay's face which was often spotted these days other than normal smug look.

Shivaay is the last person you can expect a surprise from and judging by the perfectly plotted surprise plan that he was directing to Rudra at the moment in his room,Omkara had to look up for a moment so as to confirm whether it really was his brother or not.Thankfully,it was.Or at least the person did look like Shivaay to Omkara's eyes.

As soon as Rudra left the room,leaving them two alone,Shivaay shoot a questioning look to Omkara.

"Is there anything you wanna talk about, Om?",Shivaay finally spoke settling down beside Om with his phone in hand.

"Oh!Shouldn't that be my question to you?"

That gained Shivaay's attention causing him to shoot up his head for a moment from his phone before burying it back to it,shifting uncomfortably in the process.

"Let me not beat around the bush,is there anything wrong Shivaay?Anything you would want to share?Everything's fine between you and babhi right?",he didn't wanted to wait for Shivaay to bring it up,not that he would anyway.

"What makes you think that?",Shivaay now had his full attention to the conversation.Was it that obvious?,Shivaay's couldn't help but think.

"That's clearly not the answer to my question.",Om retaliated.He was now sure about his speculations.

Shivaay would never act indistinct until it's something that's really important to him and as a matter of fact,the person who topped the 'important' chart along with the brothers to Shivaay is the one who possessed his heart,Annika.

Omkara have always believed in love,but the relationship his brother and Annika shared proved him how far was he from the actual concept and with Gauri's entry in his life,he himself could experience it.He always thought that his brother was weak when it came to the matter of heart,but with Annika's sudden entry in their life few years back,he was proved wrong and Om couldn't be anymore glad.

Everyone has a different story and Om knew better than to categorise.But he have always seen Annika bring out the best in his brother.

Shivaay's heavy sigh got Om back suddenly.He watched as Shivaay carelessly tossed his phone on the bed before laying on his back from where he sat on the bed,crossing his arms behind his head,Shivaay stared at the ceiling as if trying to contemplate something,with a deep look on his face.

"That obvious?",he finally spoke after a moment in a weak voice,still staring at the ceiling.

Om's earlier doubt of the person in front of him not being Shivaay rised again,but he knew this was not the business minded Shivaay speaking now,it was the voice of a man madly in love with his wife.So deeply in love that even the slightest of issue seemed wrecking.

Om smiled thinking about the drastically changed Shivaay.Even though Om was glad about it,he didn't fancy watching a devdas as well.So,he spoke up,"Nothing is obvious,it's just that I feel you are keeping something in mind,you've never done that after Annika came in your life.The last time I saw this look was four years back.",Om stated making Shivaay smile as well.

"She's perfect,isn't she?",Shivaay spoke,more to himself.

"Do you wanna talk about what's bothering you?",Om pressed again.

Shivaay simply sat up from the bed and gestured towards the door.Omkara nodded before walking towards the door and locking it.

Sitting beside Shivaay,he gave him a look of encouragement.

"Have you ever felt that you're falling out of love for Gauri,Om?",Shivaay asked shocking Om.Out of everything else,he didn't expect this.Falling out of love?

"You gotta be kidding me,Shivaay!Fall out of love?Seriously?You and bhabhi-"

Shivaay interrupted Om,not letting him take it in a wrong way."No Om,I'll never fall out of love for Annika.She's way too special for me,I can't even think about it.It's just that,I-I feel we may someday..",Shivaay trailed since he couldn't muster up the courage to even voice that out.

"And what makes you think so?"

"We're so busy these days,there's hardly anytime where we are at peace.Either it's me or her,if not it's something else.",Shivaay voiced.

It didn't make sense to Om.Shivaay and Annika have always been busy,but not once did they let it affect them.Then what changed now?

"It's never been an issue to you both.Why is it bothering now?",he couldn't help but ask.

"It's still not an issue Om,you're not getting it.Everything's fine between us both but yet,it's not.That's the problem.Everyrhing looks fine,I don't even know if Annika feels the same as well.But I know she's equally affected as well."

"You're over analysing things,you both have more work load now,maybe that's just showing it's effect.",Om tried to reason out.

"Maybe you're right,but we've always spared time for us amidst everything else,but now I can see that she's worried.Worried about the future of our relationship and it hurts to know that.I don't want it to be like that.It all started with some stupid news,a celebrity couple Annika have adored since long filed divorced,she knew them personally and they were in love just like us.We've even had double dates with them and after the news of their divorce broke out,Annika is kind of scared and I don't like it.",Shivaay stopped for a moment before continuing.

"The worst part of it all is that slowly everything's changing like she doesn't want it to.It's like your worst nightmare coming true.I would have let it go had it been some other time,but not now when I see her reading bloody articles about 'what went wrong in divorced couples relationships' as if she doesn't want that to happen to us.It's ridiculous!",Shivaay angrily spoke while Om looked on.

"You're making a mountain out of mole hill,Shivaay.",Om calmly spoke.

"No Om,there's something missing,something which only Annika can tell me about.Something is bothering her."

"Alright,I get it.But it's not as complicated as you're taking it as,Shivaay.You both just need some time off,things will be sorted then,not that it isn't now.You need to trust your relationship and don't let anything else shadow it.",Om spoke wisely making Shivaay nod.

"It's always good talking to you,Om.Thank you for listening to my unwated worries",Shivaay now had a better look on his face as he laughed slightly.

Om just nodded."Have a fun trip with babhi",Om patted on Shivaay's shoulder as he stood up to leave the room.

While Shivaay smiled.One more day and every minute worry in his mind would be proved wrong.

I actually like this chapter though it was a bit messy by the end.

I'm done with my boards,but that's just one task,I've got few more things to focus on.But I decided to give this update since it's been quite long and I missed writing.Let me know if should continue this <3
