after she left the cell I stood up and wiped my eyes.

and started back to the cafe I picked up my tray and threw it away. Rick walked up to me.

"Hey Daryl! so we are kind've running low on supplies.. so would you and Amanda go out and try to find some? you could show her the ropes.
he asked
"I don't know Rick, I'm not feeling the best right now.."
I replied
"still pretty messed up about Jessie, huh?"
he asked patting me on the back
I removed his hand and replied with
a "yeah, you could say that"
I walked out of the cafe back to my cell, grabbed my crossbow and started towards the entrance of the cell block.
"where are you going Daryl?"
hallie asked kindve worried
"out"
I replied
I continued walking to the entrance of the cell block, after I had reached my destination I walked out into the fresh air. it felt nice instead of being all cramped in a cell block full of people, I didn't even know.
I started walking towards the back which was not yet cleared of zombies yet. the only thing keeping the zombies from attacking me and ripping my brains out was the rusted steel fence.
I pulled up my crossbow and started shooting. with each and every arrow piercing their rotted skulls. it felt good to let all of the sadness and anger out that I've been holding in ever sense Jessie died. i had killed at least 10 zombies before I started to feel about tired and weak. I sat down on the warm pavement. and just started to think to myself.
"dammit Daryl you could've fucking saved her.."
I said aloud, teary eyed.
just then as I thought I was alone, the group of people that were off to find supplies were approaching the front entrance of the jail, I got up and walked over to Rick the leader of the group.
"hey, do you think you have room for one more?"
"course we do Daryl you're our best sharp shooter"
I joined the group and started walking towards the few cars we had left, I started helping loading weapons and peoples into the cars.
I got myself in after everything and everyone was all packed in.
Some guy, I hadn't met yet was driving our car. I was sitting shotgun.
one of the guys in the group got out and opened the gate to the entrance of the jail as we all drove away, the jail becoming smaller and smaller with each mile. we drove for what felt like forever to this tiny town, there was a few stores and houses around. the cars all came to a stop and our group fled into the streets. I was more of a "solo" person a lone wolf you could say. I did my own things. I didn't need any help, I started off towards one of the houses being cautious of my surrounding and checking every shadow and corner. I walked around the house and into the living room, finding pictures of a family, two children and a mother.
I picked up the picture realizing how much I missed my family..
i placed the picture back into its dust spot and walked off to the kitchen checking all the drawers and cabinets I found a couple of jars of soup, and beans I grabbed the jars and headed up stairs to the bedrooms. a saw a beautifully decorated children's room with a bunk bed and toys scattered everywhere, I made my way to the mothers room and checked for medicines or first aid kits, after finding some Advil I made my way back to the front door and walked out, meeting back up with the group.
