Chapter 2: Meeting in the Enchanted Forest

*Briar*

Briar's eyes quickly opened when she got out of the portal. Then heard something come right at her...all of her luggage! She ran and dodged the best she could.

She puts her hands on her knees and took deep breaths. Then she heard a "Meow!" scream through and came out flying Diana her kitten. Briar caught her and giggled. "You jumped in didn't you?" she asked.

Diana replied by licking Briar's cheek. So Briar used her free hand and moved them in a motion that made the luggage float. She walked towards the scary and gloomy part of the Enchanted Forest.

*Odette*

Odette looked around from the carriage at the Enchanted Forest below her. It is of what they say! Odette thought.

Both sides of the Enchanted Forest...one side was filled with beauty while the other was filled with fright and death. Then it meets in the middle where the gate will open for both sides for the students old and new.

"This is far as I can go your highness I'am sorry" the chauffeur said. Odette shook her head and smiled. "It's alright it won't be that far anyway" Odette said politely.

The chauffeur helped get her bags and get them fixed where it'll be easier to carry. Then he shut the doors after he helped her out and with that he flew off into the sky once more.

Then Odette grabbed her bags and headed into the light and pretty part of the Enchanted Forest.

*Both*

Briar was walking down through the forest...it looked liked the trees were watching her and that the forest creatures wanted to hurt her. Odette smiled and giggled at the animals and saw the pretty trees with their lovely green leaves.

When Briar got to the middle she heard someone coming down. Finally get to mess with a goody-two shoes she thought with a smirk. By the time Odette got there she noticed she was alone...well almost.

A cute little kitten was sitting and looks at Odette curiously. "Oh you are adorable but...how did you get here?" Odette said. She heard something ruslte in the bushes...she completely froze and waited.

She was looking around and out of no where she heard some one shout "Boo!". Odette screamed as she jumped and fell on the ground but Briar couldn't help but laugh. 

"Here let me help" Briar said and handed her out and Odette took it. "That was mean! Why would you do that?!" Odette asked.

"Why...because I thought it was funny" Briar replied with a grin. Odette picked up her bags that got messed up while Briar grabbed her cat. 

It was silent for a moment....then something started to glow. The girls looked down and saw their pendants glowing. 

A streak of blue and red came and the pendants broke off from their necks but it was so fast it didn't hurt. Then the pendants joined together to create a purple colored jewel and quickly as it came...it vanished.

"Did you see that?!" Odette asked shockingly. Briar nodded and puts her hand on her neck "Yeah...you don't see things like that everyday" she replied.

Odette noticed how her blue pendant was cut in half just like Briar's red pendant under her other necklace. Her eyes widened....

"You know what this means?!" Odette asked. Briar rubbed her chin then shook her head. Odette pouted. "This means we are...maybe...sisters" Odette told her.

Briar's eyes widened as well..."No we can't be!" she replied. "And why not?" Odette wondered.

"Because last time I checked...I'm an only child" Briar told her. She was walking away and Odette followed her.

"But don't you think it's odd how we look like one another" Odette yelled trying to catch up. Briar stopped in her tracks.

She looked at the girl she never met...but they did look a lot alike. Except that Briar had just ebony hair while Odette had rainbow highlights in her ebony hair. Briar has a honey-colored eyes while Odette has sky blue eyes. But they had the same features and skin tone.

 Odette takes her hand out "My name is Odette...what's your name?" Odette said with a smile. Briar looked at her hand for a moment then takes it. "Briar" Briar replied.

"Well lets go find the gate...before we're late" Briar told her. Odette nodded and the two girls walk through the remaining part of the forest hoping that would bethe end of this weird forest and the beginning of their journey.
