Kyla wasn't on the bus on the way home. I was glad. I couldn't deal with it. When I got home Rex was sat waiting for me at the gate. He was like a bundle of joy when I stepped through the gate. He leapt at me until I got down to give him a cuddle. After he got distracted by a squirrel I sauntered inside. In the living room mum and dad were sat on the sofa facing me. Their facing were blank and I couldn't see what they were thinking. Mum stood up and came over and squeezed me tight.
I let her but me for while second before pulling away and asking "What's going on?"
Mum sighed "Grandma passed away this morning after you left for school"
I froze. Suddenly I felt really ill. I shot out of the room to the bathroom. As I raced into the bathroom I bent over the toilet and threw up. Mum came in and held my hair back and rubber my back. Dad just stood at the door staring. When I had finished I went and led in bed. I couldn't believe grandma was dead. She was like my rock. She accepted me with all my flaws and understood how hard life at home could be. So.stokes i wou!d stay there with Rex for the night to get away. She had a little dog called Titch. She was a little Yorkshire terrier. Titch died a few months ago from old age. Grandma struggled with loneliness after she died. She had always said she wanted to go at the same time as Titch. At least she can go see her now and Pops.
I look at a picture on the wall of me and Grandma. She had a robin on her shoulder. That was her favourite bird and it's also mine. I'm gonna miss her.
