It was time for art with Mr. Gianelli. I really like him as a teacher. He understood me so much. He knew about some of the problems at home but kept quiet because I didn't need to be smothered over by all the teachers. Kyla was in my art class. She was sat far enough away though. In this lesson we were going out into the woods behind the school to sketch some wildlife.

When we got into the woods I snuck of deep into the woods by myself. I needed privacy to draw sometimes and this was one of those times. I wandered round looking for the perfect thing to draw. Then I found it. A beautiful robin hopper down to the floor. I carefully knelt In front of it and offered it my hand. Curiously the robin came towards me. It's sleek red breast was shining and it's eyes shone with curiosity.

Slowly it came closer leaving petite footprints in the mud. I started drawing. It sucked me in and nothing else mattered . Everything I was came through the pencil onto paper. The pencil felt right in my hand like I never wanted to drop it. Suddenly the robin flew off. I turned around and realised Kyla was standing behind me confused. She didn't understand my skill with birds. She would laugh at me. Her eyes w ent show that though, they were interested. The robin hadn't flown too far off but it didn't seem like it wanted to come back over while she was here.

Teachers had been talking to me about my behaviour towards Kyla a lot. She must have told on me but I didn't have a choice. My dad hated me enough; if he thought I was befriending slated people he might disown me. No, he would disown me. As me and Kyla stated at Each other Mr. Gianelli called for us all to come back.

I stood up and started to head back when I was Kyla's sketchbook. With one swift movement I snatched it from her grasp. She hadn't drawn nature but she had drawn a cat. The cat looked like the one I picked up the other day in the storm. I lowered my head and gave have it back to her. I had saved her cat, it could have died if I hadn't sheltered it in my house.
