Chapter 5

Lucy woke up to the beaming light of the morning sun shining through the shutters. She winced at this and covered her eyes. She remembered falling asleep alone so she just turned over expecting no one to be there. Yet,much to her surprise, Harry was there. Still asleep. Facing her. She was shocked at first, yes, but for some reason she didn't feel scared of him anymore. She realised he was just drunk; the person he was yesterday isn't the person he always is.

Lucy smiled at Harry's adorable sleeping state yet that smile faded once she say the dried up tears on his cheeks. She pouted as she gently touched the marks of the tears on his face. Harry must have really felt bad... Before Lucy would have started crying herself, she stood up from her bed and walked to the kitchen to get a cup of water and a pill for Harry's future hangover.

As she was walking past living room, she could see Louis on the sofa - sleeping. She decided to quietly enter the room and have a look at him

"Oh my god. You're such a small bean!" she whispered not expecting an answer.

"Aww! Gimme a break! I'm big!" he responded in a raspy tone surprising Lucy.

(The reference is up above for anyone who doesn't get what I'm talking about)

"Oh my! I'm so sorry Louis! I didn't know you were awake!"

"It's fine." he responded smiling cheekily.

Lucy noticed that the plant next to the sofa has been tampered with and soil was on the table. Annoyed, she went to clean it up yet she tripped on a bump in the rug and fell on top of Louis. Louis grunted. They bother tried to sit up yet that made matters worse since it brought their faces together. Their lips were one centimetre away from each other at that moment. Suddenly, the creaking of a door made Louis jump making their lips touch. This stunned both of them. It was as if though sparks of electricity just travelled all across their bodies. Realising Harry was about to come, Lucy immediately got off of Louis and flattened out her clothing.

"Hey, Harry." she smiled, genuinely.

"Hey, Babe- Um, Louis? What are you doing here?"

"You really don't remember?" he said raising one of his eyebrows.

"W-What? What happened?" Harry said still tried.

"Com'ere, Hazza." he sat up and patted on the space next to him.

"I-I'll just go get you something to help with the hungover..." Lucy said and went off to the kitchen to get a glass of water and a pill. She could hear Louis explaining to Harry what happened yesterday. Harry cursed under his breathe and he rubbed his face as Lucy came in with the supplies. She passed the things to Harry and he took the pills within seconds. He put the cup of water on the table beside him.

"I-I'm sorry, Lucy..." he began to apologise, "I-I..." he sighed, giving up on trying to justify what he did. He knew it couldn't be justified. At least not what he done that day. That's one thing he couldn't.

"Look... Umm..." he sighed once again.

"I-I understand if you-.." he gulped, "you want to break up with me..." he was looking at the ground the whole time yet the last words he looked up straight into Lucy's eyes.

Harry's eyes began to have a hint of pink in them. Then just pink. Then red. He was crying. Not drunk. But sober. Who would have thought? The one, the only, Harry Styles could actually cry under no influence of alcohol nor drugs. (Not that he took any or anything.)

"Damn..." he sniffled, "It's really easy to start crying again after you've cried before." he said whilst chuckling and wiping the tears away.

Lucy didn't get why Harry could even think of such an absurd thing though. Yes, he assaulted her. Sexually assaulted her. But it wasn't his fault. He doesn't even remember doing so. She knew he felt sorry for it. Hell, he's even been crying more than Lucy herself. What's even the point of holding a grudge against him and breaking up? That would just ruin Harry even more. Someone would have to move out. And Lucy knew she wouldn't be able to stand it not having him in her life.

"Oh my god, Harry!" Lucy exclaimed, "N-No! That never even that crossed my mind... Why would I do that? I love you too much. Yes, what you done wasn't... wasn't the best thing you've ever done but you was under the influence of alcohol. It wasn't your fault, Harry." She grabbed him by the shoulders and she said this.

Harry averted his gaze back to the ground.

"W-Why would you not break up with me though? How do you know that this won't ha-"

She used her two fingers to lift his chin up so she can make direct eye-contact with him.

"I know this won't happen again because I believe in you. I believe you love me enough to not let that happen again. And,to be honest, I don't think I would be able to live without you, Harold." She proudly announced, now holding his face in the palm of her hands and wiping his tears away with her thumbs.

Harry smiled through his tears and gave Lucy and big bear hug still sobbing on her shoulder.

"Don't worry these are tears of joy..." Harry said making Lucy smile wider.

During this whole event, Louis just stared at them. Just stared. No hint of emotion in his eyes. No jealousy or sadness yet no happiness or thankfulness either. There was quite literally nothing. As if though he was in deep thought. It wasn't like his soul left his body or anything. He kept changing who he was looking at. One second, Harry. Next, Lucy. One second, Harry. Next, Lucy. So on, so on. It was as if though he was longing for this sort of love... For this sort of touch... For this sort of trust and security.
