I changed into my wine-colored A-line dress, turning around a bit for my own liking. I smiled lightly, watching the lip gloss sparkle and being thankful that my normally oily skin wasn't. That stylist did well. She had seemed excited to have a female model.
Once she was done, I opened my bedroom door and scurried downstairs. Club-like electronic music played over the loudspeakers, and around two hundred people filled the house.
I was approached by the Pomeranian again. I crouched down and pet its cute black fur. While petting him, I flipped his dog tag over and read, Napoleon. Someone cleared their throat so I could hear, even with all this loud music. I stared up and gasped.
"Well, hello," The man said. His purple-red horns flashed in the lights as he helped me up gracefully. Just like Sebastian. Despite being whatever demon creature he was... he was... cute. No, not even cute, hot. His black cropped hair, his well-kept eyebrows and beard, and... Those eyes. They looked like they had been through something...
He outstretched his hand and I shook it. Sebastian frowned slightly behind him. "My name is Lucifer," he said in a devilishly charming tone. I was taken aback. What?! I mentally slapped myself. I made some weird noises for a name, took my hand away from his and turned around, facing Sebastian. I looked to him for not even a moment before I shoved past him and ran into the crowd.
SEBASTIAN
"Well, she's a strong one," Father said, watching her as she rushed out of the way. I looked away once she was far enough to be covered in other people. I turned to Father and shrugged.
"You can't blame her," I murmured, "she's just a human. She didn't really understand us. She still doesn't." I twiddled with my thumbs. Father laughed humorlessly, and I hoped for the best.
"I still can't believe you made such a deal with her. Without my permission, mind you." I shrugged again. I didn't really know either.
"Just... give her time, okay?" Father didn't like that at all. He grit his teeth together.
"Time? TIME? By the time she gets used to you, she'll be dead." With that, he turned around and stormed out of the room, gracefully. Of course. I was troubled, but I kept my head up, surveying the room. But, really, I was only looking for Arilyn. Just for a prank, I told myself, just for a prank.
ARILYN
I pushed through the crowd of people dancing and drinking until I made it to the bar. I sighed and sat down, pulling out a notepad I kept in my dress pocket as I began to write nightclub story ideas. I took note of everything. Eventually, I fell asleep with my head on the glossy counter.
I woke up with my head on a surprisingly soft and warm counter...
Wait.
I got up and saw that I was tucked into bed with the covers over me. Sunshine shined in my eyes, so I turned over. After a few minutes, I opened my eyes. A distorted image of Sebastian lay in front of me. I blinked a few times to see the full Sebastian, sleeping soundly.
I got out of the bed and felt something underneath my foot. A condom? I stared down at my dress and ran to the bathroom. My parents are gonna kill me! I searched under the sink and found a pregnancy test. (I don't want to know why there was one there.) I couldn't take any chances, even if there was a condom involved. I used it and flipped it over and it only showed one line. I sighed in relief as I walked out of the bathroom. Sebastian was awake and smiled at me.
"Prank'd ya." He got up and showed himself only shirtless, while his dress pants from last night were still on. I rolled my eyes and groaned, my whole face hot as fire. I had forgotten he was a demon at the moment.
"That was fucking scary!" I shrieked as he turned around the bed to come to look at me. I playfully punched him on the shoulder and added, "Weirdo." He chuckled and sunshine made his horns stand out. I looked away, remembering all of yesterday's events.
"I am who I am," he said, and I could tell he meant it as a joke, but it had a bit of discomfort and meaning to it. I shivered. "You okay?" Sebastian started to grab the covers. I turned around and grinned.
"I'm fine, I'm just going to go downstairs and get some root beer or something." I was craving soda.
Sebastian chuckled. "I guess you can get one, seeing as you're not hungover."
I stepped out of the room and walked downstairs. Lucifer had left the house and Nancy was nowhere to be seen. I passed the walls and hallways to find the kitchen, which was huge. I wandered around and opened the fridge.
Different foods from different places sat on the shelves of the expensive fridge. I could tell it was expensive because of the touchpad on the door and how fresh it was inside. I miraculously found a root beer.
I made sure to close the fridge and turned to the freshly cleaned counters to open the root beer. I nearly jumped out of my skin when I heard an automated voice say, "Cooling levels recalibrating... Back to standard. The weather today will be mostly sunny." I turned to see the fridge showing a symbol of the sun.
I turned back around and grabbed a glass from one of the high shelves. Walking back to the counter, I emptied the root beer can into the glass as I watched it threaten to engulf it. I quickly gulped down the root beer as I heard the sound of footsteps walking closer and closer.
"Well, hello there, gorgeous," A man said, sauntering up to my left side. "What're you doing here?" I started to move to the side because I had a bad feeling about the guy, but he moved with me. I gulped and tried to pretend to be very interested in what the weather was going to be. I sipped on my drink, but the man didn't stop.
I placed my cup back down on the table and turned around, speed walking back to a bathroom or my own room. The man wrapped his warm arm around me as I turned around. I pushed and pushed until I screamed. Screamed as loud as my vocal cords could go.
He put his hand around my mouth when I started, making it sound like a squeal. I heard a thud upstairs in my room.
"Shhhh. Stay quiet for me, sweetie. Do you want to get punished for that?" He asked rhetorically, stinking of alcohol. He lowered his other hand slightly to make it obvious what he was trying to say. I shook my head when I heard Sebastian's voice from the hallway.
"Who the hell are you?" Sebastian yelled. He pulled me out of the man's grasp. I held onto Sebastian's waist as he started shouting at the man, blushing slightly. The man just stared at Sebastian's horns and inched away. When Sebastian finished, he dashed out of the room.
Sebastian squeezed me as he walked upstairs with me on his waist. We both entered my room, and he nodded for me to get on the bed.
