Sebastian

Arilyn lied down and I came closer, double-checking for any obvious scratches. There was only one by her arm, but it looked fine. I stared at her for a minute, and I wanted to see more, but I also saw how intimidated and embarrassed she was. I asked the inevitable.

"Are you okay?"

She stared up at me with glossy eyes and nodded. "You sure?" I asked. Ariyln nodded again.

"I'm fine, I just need to... rest, I guess," she said, and I nodded and walked out of the room, walking back to the kitchen. I pulled out my phone and called my father.

"What is it, Sebastian? I'm busy with something," he answered after a few rings. I sighed, not feeling like calling anymore. I asked him to come to my house and he appeared shortly after. I reluctantly told him the news and, straight after, Father laughed. I started to get mad off that alone.

"Oh, I know. I possessed the guy," he said like it was no big deal. My heart skipped a beat, in a bad way.

"You... What? Why the hell would you do that?" I regretted my words but I was also infuriated. I had understood he didn't like Arilyn, but that didn't give him the right to attack her, by himself or otherwise.

ARILYN

I took my ear off the wall. I can't fucking believe Sebastian possessed him!  I angrily wrapped myself in the blanket. I looked up at my phone and grabbed that too.

I wanted to stay in my room not because of the weird guy, but because of Sebastian. I thought he was being heroic, but he's... he's just a selfish prick!

"You seem tired. How about you rest and I head on out? We can have breakfast out tomorrow morning," Sebastian said, standing by the door. I scoffed and looked away from him as he came closer to me.

"I'm not a child, Sebastian. I'm completely capable of going to sleep without some demon tucking me in," I muttered.

I heard him step back. "What?" Sebastian paused and then snarled, "What?" I stared back at him and he was staring back.

"I don't need," I started and paused. "A demon. To tuck me. Into bed." We stared each other down and I could see, deep down, Sebastian was horrified.

He stared at me until I looked away and he gave up. Sebastian stepped back slowly out of the room and shut the door.

I wiped my tears and lay down on the bed, still thinking about the intruder. I wrapped the warm blanket around me and drifted off into sleep.

....

I woke up to darkness. I grumbled and sat up. My shoulder ached from sleeping at a weird angle. I checked my phone, after loudly trying many times, to see the time was '5:49 am'. I rubbed my eyes and remembered yesterday. I sighed and got out of bed, also remembering Sebastian's promise of eating breakfast with him.

It better be his treat, I grumbled in my head.

I slowly walked down the grand staircase and flicked a random set of lights on. The living room lit up. Bottles still scattered around the house, I turned around and saw Sebastian scratching his black hair, walking towards me.

"Hey!" he greeted cheerfully. I walked towards the kitchen, ignoring him. "Why are you ignoring me?" I accidentally stumbled backward, breaking my stride. Something landed on the ground, but Sebastian caught me and stared into my eyes. I could see different emotions there. Mischievousness? "You just missed my toes. Good morning to you, too."

I gulped and looked away. Don't blush, don't blush, don't blush. I felt heat rising to my cheeks. He smirked and set me back up. NOOOOOOO! Oh, God, why?
