The New Character (Ed x reader) Fma fanfic

2- Danger!

Y/n POV:

I was running through the woods, panting and feeling a strong burning sensation in my leg muscles. How long is she going to chase me?! And... Why me?! I didn't do anything yet... Do the homunculi know how I got here and want me for something already?! 

"Y/N!" I heard a familiar voice scream. Now I heard some more footsteps, coming closer. Soon enough, Ed appeared, and used alchemy to form a wall to protect me.
"Run! Get back home while you still can, I'll take care of them!" Ed screamed to me. I panicked, but did what he said. Once again, I was running as fast as I could, and then it hit me. What am I doing?! How could I leave him behind?! The homunculi could easily kill him... I stopped, thinking whether or not I should turn back now or go get help. To not waste time, I quickly decided to go tell Al, I'm sure he'd be a bigger help than me. 

At last, I got to the house.
"Al! Ed needs your help! He... He's fighting a homunculus now, and he could die! I would help, but I don't know what I could do..." I told him.
"Just stay here, where you'll be safe, ok? I'll be back with him soon, I promise. And brother can't be dead... I know he isn't." Al replied, leaving to go help his brother. I sat down on the bed. Why couldn't I do something to help him myself? Why can't I just be able to do something, even together, they might... I remembered the anime, when Ed and Al went to the 5th lab and Ed almost died, fighting slicer then Envy for a little. Now, he's fighting Lust, and could get killed. My eyes started tearing up as I lied down on the bed. Before I knew it, I fell asleep... I guess I was more exhausted than I thought.

Ed POV:

I was running, using alchemy to protect myself every now and then from her freaky fingers. How did she know to come here, and what does she want now?! She can't kill me, so what's she after...? The homunculi once called me a 'sacrifice' and for that, they can't kill me. What's their plan anyway? Wait... Is she after y/n? After all, she did pass through the portal of Truth... 
"Why are you here?! Did you come for y/n?!" I screamed to the homunculus.
"Yeah..." She said, grinning evilly.
"Now where did she go?" She asked aggressively.
"Like I'd tell you that!" I yelled back. She stopped.
"Well, I suppose I can't kill you... You are a prime sacrifice... Well, see you then." Lust said, leaving.
"Huh-- Wait! You can't just go!" I screamed after her... But then I let her go. I honestly doubt I could win... 

"Brother!" I heard Al call out. I heard metal rustling the grass as he came up to me.
"Y/n told me what happened! Are you alright? Where's the homunculus?!" He asked me worriedly.
"She escaped. And don't worry about me. How's y/n?" I asked.
"Oh... She's fine. Probably sleeping by now." He responded. Oh good... She's ok... 
"So... We should probably head back too, eh, Al?" I said.
"Yeah!"

So we walked home, and I went straight to bed.

Next morning, at 11 o'clock

*Yawn* I just woke up, and Al stood up from the floor and came to me.
"Good morning! How did you sleep, brother?" He asked me.
"Good I guess..." I answered. I sniffed, and smelled something delicious. Pancakes, maybe? And something else too...
"Oh, just saying, y/n woke up pretty early, and she decided to go make breakfast for everyone." Al said. Ohh. So THAT'S what smells so good. 
"Great! Because I'm starving." I said cheerfully. 

I walked to the kitchen, and saw the table full of delicious things to eat... Pancakes, eggs, bacon, cereal... I started to drool just looking at all of it. Y/n came in smiling.
"Good morning, guys! I'm glad to see you're both ok. You can take whatever you like from the table, by the way." She said.
"Yeah... *munch munch* We're fine..." I responded, trying everything on the table. Except the cereal, of course. I'm not gonna drink that god damn milk in it.

Y/n POV:

I'm so relieved to see they came back alive... If I'm gonna go anywhere with them, I should learn how to fight it somehow too...
"Hey, Ed, Al? Do you think you could teach me how to fight? Better yet, can you teach me how to use alchemy?" I asked. Ed almost choked on all his food.
"Really? Are you sure it's a good idea? It could be pretty dangerous, you know..." Al said.
"I know. But I'm gonna go search for the philosophers stone with you guys, right? It would probably be dangerous, and I should learn how to protect myself and help you." I replied.
"Well, alchemy's pretty difficult, it is a science." Ed told me.
"Well... You know how you two could transmute without a circle?" I started saying. They glanced at each other with nervous looks.
"It's because you saw the Truth, right? Well, so did I, so I should be able to do it too, right? So can you pleeaase teach me?" I asked. We sat in silence for a few moments, until Ed finally spoke. "...Fine. I'll teach you alchemy. And I guess I'll also teach you how to fight." He said reluctantly. "Tomorrow, when my arm's ready, we'll teach you." He said. Yes! I'm going to learn alchemy and fighting!

"Yayyy!" I screamed, jumping up and down.
"Are you sure it's a good idea? And... Without a transmutation circle?" I overheard Al whisper to Ed.
"She's right, if she comes with us, it'll be dangerous if she doesn't know how to fight or use alchemy. I think it's fine." Ed responded, whispering back. 
"If you say so, brother." Al said. I guess they never realized I heard them. 

A/N:

Ok, I know this chapter was pretty short and had a lot of stuff going on, considering it's only chapter 2. And I'm adding a lot of my own stuff in, even though I'm kinda going by the storyline (in Brotherhood). Well, I hope you liked it! I promise to update soon!
