Pt7: Vows

This is from the Imagines book in the chapter called "Always and Forever", I just changed a few things (the vows)

Ruby's p.o.v

She took my breath away. She looked like an angel that descended down from heaven. My own personal angel and in a few minutes she was going to be mine forever.

My emotions were all over the place and I couldn't help but shed a few tears when her father placed her hand in mine. This was finally happening. We were about to begin our lives together, forever.

"Why are you crying baby" she whispered softly as she wiped a few of my tears, "because you look so beautiful right now" I whispered back and a blush adorned her cheeks.

Once the guests were seated, the priest announced that it was time for us to say our vows.

"Love is a verb" I begin, "and yes, I did my research." Y/N let's out a melodious laugh and the crowd laughs too.

Love is a verb- it is not something that happens in a moment, but rather something that takes time. Love isn't blind, in fact, love sees all.

Y/N, I love all of you. Your faults and flaws cast a beautiful light, like flaws on a precious jewel.

You are my treasure and I will love you for all time.

As we join out lives together, I vow to love you as you love me, through all hardship, darkness, and pain with honesty and faith.

I promise you my unconditional love, tenderness and undying devotion. I vow to be as much of a rock for you as you have been for me.

To you Y/N, I give myself and everything that I will ever be. Always and forever."

"Ruby, your mind stirs my soul, your touch delights me and your faith gives me strengh.

It was an inexplicable force that brought us together. When I first saw you and how wonderful you were, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.

Love isn't perfect. It's not a fairytale or a storybook, and it doesn't always come easy. Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on and never letting go. I promise to hold on forever and to never let go.

Even though I'm unsure about most things in life, I am certain that I love you and I will continue to love you forever. I'm lucky to be in love and to know that we'll stand side by side, as one, until we're grey and old.

One lifetime to pledge to you isn't enough. You are my partner, my friend, my lover and my hero. To you, I pledge my trust, understanding and to raise you up whenever you are weary, to hold you and to love you always.

I promise to be your loving wife and devoted partner. Always and forever."

Finally. We were married.

"I now pronounce you wife and wife" said the priest, "you may kiss your bride".

When our lips locked in that first kiss as wives, everything and everyone seemed to disappear. It was as if we were standing here, in each others arms, all alone. I wanted this moment to last forever, I didn't want it to end.

Finally, it all made sense. We were meant to be together. I couldn't wait to wake up next to to my beautiful wife every morning for as long as I shall live. We're going to have kids and raise them. We're going to grow old together.

As we withdrew from our kiss, we stared into each others eyes. Y/N has the most beautiful eyes, I could stare and look into them all day. She was finally mine and I hers.

"I love you Mrs Y/N Y/L/N Langenheim" i said, those words vibrating with every ounce of love I have for her in my body.

"I love you more Mrs Ruby Rose Langeneim. Let's begin our forever, together" she says and she pecks my lips again.

Always and Forever, until death do us part.
