Chapter 4

Emily POV

I was walking to my last class when I was suddenly pulled into an empty classroom.

I turned around and see that it's just Paige, I sigh in relief (well sort of)

"What do you want Paige?" I ask annoyed. "Can we please get back together?... I promise I won't mess it up, I love you!...please take me back Em..." Now I'm just angry! "No! Paige I've told you before that I forgave you but I will NEVER trust you again! We can be friends but that's all." I reply firmly "Is it because of Alison?" She quietly asks. "This has nothing to do with her" I half lie "You still love her don't you?" She asks getting quieter. "Goodbye Paige" I say then open the door and walkout before she can answer.

I remembered that we were going to a party later so I had to get home and get ready. I'm not sure why the girls would want to go to a party but whatever.

I just finished getting dressed when I hear my doorbell ring. I quickly run to answer and I am completely shocked to see Paige standing there nervously. Did she not understand the goodbye part? I think in my head. "What do you want now Paige?" I ask slightly annoyed,

"I'm sorry for accusing you earlier... And I also wanted to ask you...." She says nervous, "Ask me what?" I ask curious as to what she would ask me. "Um... Can we be friends?...you know since we can't be together as a couple now...it's just I just want you in my life and if that means just friends so be it"

I was surprised that she asked that, I thought she was going to keep asking to get back together. I'm glad that she finally understands that I won't be anything more than a friend to her. "Sure Paige" I say, she leans in for a hug and I allow her, At that moment I realize that I no longer feel anything for Paige in an intimate way. I smile and hug her back.

Alison POV

I walk over to Emily's house to see if we can go to the party together. I was going to drive but decided that I could go in Emily's car instead. I stopped at the next house when I look over and see her talking with Paige. (Ugh Paige, maybe I should go up there) I start making my way over so that they can see me but soon back up when Paige hugs her and Emily returns it with a smile. I can't believe it! I'm sure they got back together! Why? I thought Emily loved me back! How could she do this to me... to us!?!

Angry tears start rolling down my cheeks. I run back to my house and once I get there I get inside my car and make my way over to the party.
