Persuasive Ali

Chapter 14

Emily POV*
I awoke at the sound of an alarm, Oh shoot!. I quickly got up and my assumption was proven correct. I overslept,My mom is gonna be so mad at me!
I looked around for my phone and once found it I looked at the screen;
16 new messages and 11 missed calls from mom
"Shit I'm screwed for sure!" I whispered loudly. I looked over to my right and noticed that Ali was peacefully sleeping, curled into a little ball. I smiled at how she could make sleeping look so beautiful, but my smile soon disappeared once I remembered that I hadn't planned to spend the night.
I rose from the bed and scurried around Ali's room quietly looking for a pen and paper, once I managed to locate the supplies I wrote a greeting/departure note on my behalf and rapidly walked out of her house and into my car.

I quietly walked into my house and attempted to silently rush up the stairs without raising any attention but miserably failed when I heard my mothers voice calling me from afar. "Emily is that you?" I heard her ask, her voice hoarse from what I assume to be caused from crying. I instantly felt bad for not advising her of my well being, "Yeah mom it's me" I answered guiltily and walked into the living room.
She jumped from the couch and hugged me hard as if she was afraid that I was an illusion of some sort. "I'm so sorry mom....I..i didn't mean to worry you, I accidentally fell asleep at Ali's house and I didn't realize until this morning I'm sorry" I rush out and Ali's name escapes my lips before I could retract it. "Oh Ali...right....is there something I should know about?" She asks concerned, I don't know if I should try to lie or just speak the truth. Oh god just say it! "Me and Alison are dating mom....but I promise we didn't do anything yesterday..we actually just became official last night" I confessed shyly and partially embarrassed but somewhat happy as well. She smiled at me and held me at arms-length than spoke her thoughts, "I'm glad that you are happy, but I expect you to advise me where you will be or how long from now on, do you understand Emily?" She asks expectantly with a pointed look. I nod at her and she smiles in return with a short hug and I reciprocate,happy that I didn't get grounded. "How about some breakfast to get you started?" She questions me while walking to the kitchen. "Sure" I reply and follow her steps.

Ali POV*
I woke up in the late morning and found myself laying alone on my bed, I guess it was a dream. I sigh loudly and sit up but my attention focuses on a note lying on my dresser, I quickly open it anxiously;
Good morning Ali and sorry that I'm not there personally but I didn't plan to stay over and I needed to get home. I had an amazing time last night and thank you for making my night.

I couldn't stop a grin from spreading onto my face and I chuckled at myself.

I got up shortly after and took a shower with thoughts of Emily. I am the luckiest person if I am not dreaming and I'm truly with Emily at last.

I walk into my room after getting dressed in the restroom and almost have a heart attack when I see Hanna sitting on my bed patiently and looking at where I am stood. "Hi" she simply greets and I give her an 'are you crazy?!' look and she chuckles in response, "What are you doing here Hanna?!" I ask still perplexed at her unexpected visit. "I came to see how yesterday went duh" She replied while patting the vacant spot beside her. "Yesterday?.... Wait how do you know about it?" I ask curiously hoping that she wasn't stalking us yesterday. "Emily told me" She answered but didn't continue, "And?" I question interested in what my girlfriend mentioned. "That's all she told me, she went with Aria and Spence to the mall" She replied with a shrug. "Oh ok" I replied dejectedly, "Don't worry they practically pulled her out of her house...I swear you guys are already like a newly wedded couple and it's only been a day." Hanna joked and let out a small laugh. "So are you going to tell me what happened or am I going to have to force it out of you?" She asked me looking deadly serious. "Umm.... well I asked her out and-" I started but was quickly interrupted with a loud squeal from the blond seated in front of me. "Oh my gosh y'all are so freaking cute!" She screamed while bouncing on my bed. "Are you going to let me finish?" I questioned with a playful glare and she remained quiet but then spoke, "Oh yeah, sorry it's just that it's so cute!" She gushed and attempted to prevent herself from squealing again. I chuckled and continued, "So I asked her out and she didn't respond right away so I thought that she was going to reject me but she didn't......and yeah then we hung out in my room for the remainder of the night....and she spent the night." I mumbled the last part of the sentence in hopes that she didn't hear me. "Woah she stayed over?! I didn't think y'all would move that fast!" She spoke incredulously. "Nothing happened, she didn't even plan to stay over but we both fell asleep and she had to go home right away." I explained to her to prevent further comments, "Are you sure that it was an accident as you put it?" Hanna asked clearly amused at the situation.
