[Three Months Later]

Batman stood on the rooftop of Gotham Bank, looking over the City in his brooding state. He had just stopped a bank robbery where the thiefs had taken four hostages. It was easy picking as Gordon would call it, Batman was in within ten minutes of the first gunshot and out in three minutes, the criminals all unconciouss and the hostages safe,

No-one stopped to thank Batman, he did not give them the chance as he hurried into his Batmobile and sped off down the freeway. Parking up in some alley, Batman flew out of the drivers seat and latched onto the roof, using his grappel gun. He glided up until his feet hit the slate tiles.

The only thing he felt was the sudden discomfort of having all of Gotham beneath him. The only other building taller than the Bank was Wayne Enterprises, a huge skyscraper situated in the centre of Gotham. Batman thought it was pointless climbing so high to see all of Gotham when he was practically up there already with his name lit up in bright white lights. He did not despise the legacy his family had given to him but instead he wished he did not have such a high profile.

Bruce Wayne, the most eligable bachelor in Gotham, Son of Martha and Thomas Wayne who were murdered right in front of him when he was only young. Everyone knew Bruce Wayne and he disliked it.

"Bruce?" Oracle's voice spoke over the intercom. He was slightly fuzzled due to the interference of the high altitude.

"What?" he replied, his voice deeper than his original one, a disguise so people do not recognise him as Wayne.

"Alfred is worried sick, you haven't been home for the last week." Oracle scolded him, her voice thick with worry herself. "You leave at night and don't return until the sun comes up. You'll get yourself killed one day."

Batman had bigger things to worry about rather than coming home at night. How Harley Quinn had managed to get some of her own men amongst some of Commisioner Gordon's most trusted forces was beyond confusing. However the answer was soon discovered that the men Harley's Thugs had impersonated were killed and left in a gutter. Seven men dead before the actual breakout and a further eleven during it.

"I have to find Quinn, she's been missing for three months. No sign or trace of any of her men."

"Missing isn't the word I would use." she replied, exhaling a tired breath at the end. "Harley isn't someone you should be going out of your way to find, she was lucky she left Bruce Wayne alive the last time they met. What do you think she will do to Batman?"

"I won't let her do anything." Batman jumped down from the room, extending his gape which cuaght the updraft of the wind. Lowering gradually down, Batman focused on the apartment buildings in front of him and landed succesfully.

"Yet you are still giving her the chance."

"Oracle if you are going to hastle me on this line then please pass it onto Alfred, at least he gives up after the first no." Batman grunted, hopping over railing. Oracle sighed on the other end, typing furiously into her computer in the Batcave.

"If you are going to be out there then at least do some good." Batman agreed. "A Police call just came in, there is a kidnapping in Gotham Downtown, right near the walls of Arkham City."

"The details." Batman gruffly ordered, standing on the edge of the roof and watching as cars stopped at the traffic lights.

"Four people were taken off the streets tonight. First officers on the last crime scene managed to spot the culprit as he was dragging the victim to his lair. Bruce, they are saying the culprit is Zsasz." Oracle bitterly said.

Batman did not even wait for Oracle to say anything else as he let his body fall down into the alley and landing directly into the driving seat of the Batmobile. Bringing it to life, Batman zoomed out onto the main street  and drove towards the dimly lit side of town.
