Chapter 4

12 days later
PATTON'S POV

Today is the day. The day I leave to go to Penfold. The picture perfect town. Virgil and Logan are coming in ten minutes to spend the last hour I got here with me. Roman has been ignoring us lately and I can't help but think that it's all my fault but instead I decided to put on my light blue headphones and listen to the spongebob camp fire song on repeat.

30 minutes later

"Wait did Lauren really jump in to the loch? That's like her biggest fear!"
"Yeah, she was really proud of her self ,but Becca told her off." Virgil answered .
"When Lauren has a fear she goes above and beyond to stay as far as possible from it." Logan stated.
"Like how you hide from feelings" Virgil giggled.
"Kiddos! I got some cookies!" My dad called to us, Virgil went down stairs faster than Logan saying yes to crofters and that's pretty fast. "Should we go after him?" Logan asked,
"We shall!".

20 minutes later

"Do you and your dad, like, take baking lessons together or something?" Virgil asked us as while taking the last biscuit. I giggled. I checked the clock on my phone, it was 11:51 am. 9 minutes. I think I might tell my parents that I like guys, I mean, it's best when my best friends are here, right? "Patton? You okay?"
"Hey mum?dad?"
"Yeah son?"
"I-i like .. I like guys!" I look down waiting for them to say how that's not right or something but then my dad goes and says..
"We love you Patton, nothing can change that! You be what YOU want to be! And don't change for ANYONE!promise?"
"Promise!" My dad gave me a hug, but my mum, she just stood there not saying anything, just, nodding her head.
"We should go the car no-"
"What about Roman!" I interrupted my mum
"Roman hadn't been the bestest friend lately but he wouldn't let me go without saying goodbye,right?"
"Well we have to leave the house, buuut I guess we can wait for 5 outside then!" My dad suggested
"Okay!"

After waiting 5 minutes outside

"Patton we have to go now."
"Okay mum." Next thing I know I'm crying
"Awwww Patton! We are gonna miss you, so much! You don't even understand!" Logan gives me a hug and starts to cry. I look over to Virgil and signal for him to join our hug, he does so.
"We are gonna miss you so f-"
"I may be leaving but LANGUAGE VIRGIL!" I laugh. But then I spot a CREEPY CRAWLY DEATH DEALER! "AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" I jump onto Logan's back. "What's wrong Patton!?" Logan quickly asked , his face going red.
"SPIDER!!!!!"
"Patton! Let's go!"
"Right, goodbye guys." I hop into the back of the car
"Goodbye Patton!good luck in Penfold!" Logan said as the car started."Bye Patton." Virgil couldn't say bye without crying. I started to cry and we started to leave.

LOGAN'S POV

"We should get rid of the spider, it's what Patton would of wanted." I already missed him. I went to the spider. "Wait this is, FAKE!" Laughs came from behind the bushes. "Who's there!?"Virgil demanded. Oh my crofters. It's-

Also you won't be able to find out who it was for a while >:) because I'm finally gonna get to the high school part of the story! I kinda wanted to build the background up first tho.
I'm too lazy to change it and want to post something and you got this Oof.
