Chapter 4: Campfire time

Charles P.O.V.
We were having dinner with our cabin mates when a boy with raven black hair and sea green eyes came near our table. When he saw my sister Daniela his jaw dropped.

"Daniela?"

She turned around and smiled, "Glad to see you're awake Percy."

I could see Jason on at another table trying not to laugh. Two other kids were not trying to as well. They didn't succeed and they just burst out laughing. Percy looked really confused and Daniela said someone's name.

"Luke Castallen." (I don't remember how to spell it so don't judge me)

Percy gave her a confused look again then realized what she apparently meant. Across the hall Jason burst out laughing even more . "Shut up Jason you were disarmed!" Jason just shrugged at him still smiling.  Percy then turned to Daniela, "You me fight in the lake. This is pay back." He said this with a smirk.

"Fine, we'll do it tomorrow."

He agreed and walked to his table.

I turned to her, "What was that all about"

She smiled "It was nothing, just a prank I played on him earlier. Besides we've got to get to the campfire."

Annabeth's P.O.V.

I couldn't find Percy this morning so when I went to ask Leo where he was, he started laughing.
"Oh, h-he was i-in the infirmary." He said between laughs.

I was surprised. "Why would he be in the infirmary?"

"Oh uh, some new camper knocked him out and gave him a concussion."

This couldn't be possible. He was the best swordsman this camp has ever seen. "How long did it take him to knock him out?"

"Well, that's the thing," he said nervously, "he is a she and from what I remembered she took him out in about a minute. Here's the crazy part. She was fighting against Percy AND Jason. She knocked out Percy, disarmed Jason and tied them both on the ground in a minute."

If she beat them that fast, she must be trouble, "What's her name?"

"My name's Daniela."

"I take it you are Annabeth."

I turned around and saw the two new campers that came today. The boy had his arms crossed and the girl ,who I assume was Daniela was smiling at me.

"Oh! We're are my manners. I am Daniela Escalante and this is my brother Dean Escalante. I see you know Leo. That's good."

This girl seemed a little oblivious about the seven, "Yeah we fought in the Giant War together."

She looked at the ground, "Oh. I'm sorry."

Now I was confused, "For what?"

"You had to watch all those people die. The things you all went through must have been horrible."

Things were getting a little to awkward since Dean and Leo left so decided to change the subject, "I heard you knocked out two of the strongest kids at Camp by yourself."

She smiled and looked me. It seemed as if the world's problems could go away when she did that. "Yeah. Probably just pure luck."

"No. I'm serious. Next time, I want you on my team for Capture the Flag."

"Don't we have it tomorrow?"

"I guess so. Well anyways, who do you think your godly parent might be?"

"Well, ever since I can remember I've had two parents. My mom is my step mom so I would say that my godly parent is a goddess."

"Nice. My mom is Athena. Hope to see you in my cabin." I smiled at her.
