Family Reunion

"Yes , uhuh,of course .What time tomorrow? Perfect,most definetly.I will explain it all to her when she wakes up,until then miss Martinez."

 I try to open my eyes after i hear the unknown voice stop talking. I slowly open my eyes to be blinded by the bright lights of the room. I look around but I don't reconise it. Did my dad catch up to me and is now going to punish me ?I start to panic .

I hear the door that leads to a bathroom i'm guessing ( becouse of the flush) creak open.Expecting it to be my father ,me being the weak person I am ,I cower in the bed under the sheets.I peek out from the blankets to see an older man wearing a white coat with a name tag walk out of the bathroom.It takes me a minute to realise that this older man is not her to hurt me, but indeed is a doctor.

"Oh,your awake!How are you feeling miss Zoey"

I look up at him confused . What does he mean how am I feeling?

"What?"

He gives me a slight smile but,the look in his eyes is something I have seen before at school from my teachers after my parents divorce .The one emotion I hate the most yet I see so often towards me .SYMPOTHY.

"Your side , how does it feel ?"

My side what ?

"What are you talking about,why would me side hurt?I wan to go home !"

Just as I say that when I  move I feel an agonising pain in my right side area.

"AHH!" I hiss.

"Hmm,how much do you remember from all that has happened ?"

"Remember from what..."

Oh wait it's all coming back to me.Walking downstairs.Fighting with my dad.Drugs.Lies.Running.And the bang along with that sharp strong pain I felt in my side.

"I remeber it all..."

I shudder remembering the events that took place .

"Yes well as you know we can not alow you to go back ands stay with your father in that house.One being that he in going to be in prison for 3 years,along with it is not safe for you there.Now of course you have the choice but , it would be best if you go with your second choice.Your first choice is to go to a fosters house where you will stay until you can get adopted or turn 18.Your second choice is your mother and your brother are on their way down here an dwould love for you to live with them.You would grow up and live with your family."

It takes me a second for this all to sink in.I can see my mom and brother again.Their coming down and will be here tomorrow.I can't help but be exstatic .

"What will you like to do zoey?"

I look up at him and I already know my answer .

"I want to live with my mom and my brother"
