As you ran through the woods, you swore it got darker and darker. It was only Three Thirty but the forest became a darker place by the minute. Suddenly scared, you stopped running, finding yourself in a small clearing. Ummmmm, which way did you come from?

"Crap." you said out loud, right before something bowled you over.

"Ow! Hey, watch it buddy!" you yell, towards the figure you were pushed over by.

You saw that it was a guy, in an orange t-shirt and jeans, a plaid shirt tied around his waist and black converse. He had rather shaggy brown hair and seemed to be scrambling for something as he got off the ground. You stood up and saw a book with a rather torn brown cover. It had a golden hand with a three on it. You picked it up and flipped through the pages quickly. You looked up again to see the guy's face and dang, he was drop dead gorgeous. His brown eyes glittered in the dark and he cocked his head slightly at the sight of you, which you weren't sure if that was a good thing.

"Um, sorry. Can I have my book back?" He asked, almost seeming quite panicked.

"Nope. Not until you tell me why you are running through the woods at top speed. Alone." you tease, putting the book under your arm.

"Wow, are you always this infuriating?" he asks, smiling.

"I don't know, why don't you ask my parents that shipped me off to this boring little town." you say, slightly angry, remembering how your parents just told you the news like it was nothing.

"Oh, um, I'm sorry." He said, sounding a little embarrassed.

"(Your name)." you offered, putting out your hand to shake.

"Dipper." Dipper replied, flashing a smile that made you blush crimson

"Hey, you never told me why you were running through the woods like that." you said again, handing Dipper the book.

"Um, you want me to tell the truth?" Dipper asked.

"Yes, now spill the beans." you say, crossing your arms.

"Okay, fine. I was chasing this." Dipper said, flipping open the book and showing you a page. It had an illustration of a dog-like creature with red eyes, sneering and showing sharp teeth.

"What is that?" You ask, eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"It's called a Toothflinger. It can rip out your teeth using its roar." Dipper said, sitting on a fallen log. You sit next to him.

"Um, you were chasing it why?" you ask.

"To get proof of it actually existing." Dipper replied simply.

"But it could of sucked out your teeth!" you reply. "And you have a nice smile."

Dipper looks at you and smiles widely, seemingly showing off his teeth. You laugh and lightly punch him in the shoulder.

"Well, I better get back to the shack." dipper says, standing up. You stand beside him.

"Sure, see ya around Dipper." you smile and he smiles back.

As soon as Dipper leaves, you realize you have no idea how to get back to Aunt Susan's, so you panic. You frantically run after Dipper and finally catch up to him.

"Hey (your name)! Got lost?" Dipper asks coolly.

"Uhhhhh, yeah." you reply honestly.

"Okay, I can lead you outta here. I know these woods like the back of my hand." Dipper says, grabbing your hand.

Once you find your way out of the woods, the setting sun makes you smile. It was dark in the woods and was glad to see the sun again.

"Well, thanks Dipp." you say, patting him on the shoulder.

"Aww, you've got a nickname for me." Dipper joked.

"Shut up." you say.

"See you tomorrow?" Dipper asks.

"Definitely." you reply.

And you walk home without a care in the world.
