Mystery

Chapter Three

When you arrive at the waterfall, you're not exactly sure how you're going to get though. You try the literal approach first. You stand on the hippocampi's back and leap towards the waterfall, crashing through it and landing on your face.

Dipper follows, and if it was possible to be less graceful than you were, Dipper achieved it.

"So this is it?" you ask, looking around in the dark cave.

"Yep, let me grab a flashlight." Dipper says, pulling out a flashlight and turning it on.

"OH MY GOD! LOOK OUT!" you scream as a bunch of bats shriek and fly deeper into the cave.

"Woah, it's cool." Dipper says, half laughing at your sudden freak out.

You walk further into the cave, to find a rotting wood chest.

"Hmmmm, maybe there's something about a key or-" Dipper is cut off by the sound of splintering wood. You simply kicked the chest and it busted open, revealing a-

"Necklace?" you ask, pulling it out of the chest. It's really beautiful with a silver chain and a large (Colour) stone set in a pendant.

"Do you want it?" Dipper asks. You nod and lift your hair as he fastens it around your neck.

"Thanks." you reply simply. You notice a pinprick of light near the end of the tunnel, and begin to walk towards it, and end up running towards it. When you reach the end, you find it leads out to a cliff face.

"Woah." you both say in unison, and watch as the sun begins to dip behind the mountains.

"Well, should we head back?" you ask.

"Nah, we can head home later." Dipper says, sitting near the edge of the rocky cliff.

You sit next to him and he smiles widely.

"How long have you been in Gravity Falls?" You ask Dipper, grabbing handfuls of stones and throwing them off the rocky ledge.

"Um, probably nine years. Came here when I was ten-ish. I was supposed to go home after the summer ended, but Mabel and I became pretty attached to this place." Dipper sighed.

"Oh, wow. Yeah, back at home, I was a bit of a rebel. I didn't think it was right that when a kid that was different would get pummeled by the populars. Kids who liked math and science, and stuff. I stood up for them, got in a fight, and got suspended. Then my parents were angry, so they sent me to live with my Aunt Susan." You explain.

"Wow, pretty much just spilled your life story there." Dipper laughs and you feel your heart jolt.

"Sorry." you blush.

"It's fine, I like hearing about you." Dipper stares deeply into your eyes, but deflects the awkward moment by saying "How are you related to Lazy Susan?"

"Well, she's my Dads sister."

"Is he, um, you know, good looking?" Dipper starts flocking rocks off the cliff.

"Um, no. I got all my looks from mom." You laugh.

"Your mom must be beautiful." Dipper says, and before you know it, he leaned in;

And kissed you right on the lips.

And your world is spinning because he hasn't pulled away yet. You pour your arms around his neck and when he pulls away, you say,

"You just said my mom was beautiful."

XD! Okay, that has been, three chapters! I will probably put some writing every three chapters, sorta like an authors note type thing. Anyways, wow, things really heated up this chapter. I WONDER WHAT MABEL'S GONNA SAY!!! It was SOOOOOOO FUN writing these first few chapters and if you have any questions, ASK EM IN THE COMMENTS!
