Chapter One

When life wants to fuck you up you do the same to it.

Except I can't do the same.

Unless I want to be six feet under. Its not like I can complain. I'm almost done with my paperwork.  I grabbed my pen again and started furiously writing. There was a knock on my door. "Come in,"

"Hey sis,"

"What do you want," I didn't look up at him.

"Wow thanks for the warm welcome,"

"Seriously what do you want?"

"Here are the files you needed,"

"Thanks. That should be the last thing I need to do,"

"Why do you insist with doing all this work?" He asked curiously.

"I love to help and if it helps the pack and the people I care about then I'll do it,"

He sighed. "You're too kind. No wonder you earned the title Light,"

I frowned not wanting to recall the incident that made me earn the title. I have gotten many titles but Light is the most impressive. Though I prefer being called the title Hope if I had to choose.

"Eh. Well see you later jerk,"

"I take that back,"he chuckled and then left.

I got up and stretched my arms. We had a meeting with the BloodCrown soon and I wasn't looking forward to it.

You don't look forward to anything my wolf huffed.

Shut up.

You need to get your priorities straight. I want to find it mate. She started jumping around. Wagging her tail.

All in good time.

What are we. 22. That's 220 years in human years.

But we're not humans.

Fine. Imma go take a nap. Later.

I sighed. Might as well get some rest for tomorrow.

I got up and locked the office and started heading towards my room. I got in and locked it.

I changed and brushed my teeth. I went on my bed and let the darkness consume me.

Next Morning

I woke up from my alarm. I looked at the time and realized if I didn't hurry up I would be late.

I scrambled out of my bed and started to get dressed.

There was banging on my door.

"What do you want," I yelled.

"Hurry up. Are about to leave,"

"Ok ok," I answered.

Stupid meeting. Stupid everything. I just want to sleep.

I got out of my room all ready. My suitcase was ready.

"Why is it so full," my brother asked.

"75% of the contents are weapons. 20% is food. Don't judge me. The rest is clothes,"

"That's means 5% if that is cloths," he raised his eyebrow.

"Yep," I grinned.

"You're so damn weird," he muttered.

"Look who's talking. Says the guy who refused to shift back to human because there was a bug,"

"That was 20 years ago," he deadpanned.

"I'll never forgot that look. Priceless,"

"Shut up. We're late enough," he hit my back.

We went outside and I easily put my suitcase in the car.

"Jeez. Have enough clothes?" Damien roller his eyes.

"Most of my suitcase has weapons. Shut up before I bring one of them out and pulverize you,"

He looked the other way.

I smiled in triumph and got in the car.

"You didn't have to be so aggressive," Kaito chuckled.

"Well he was being a jerk so I obviously going to defend myself. I'm a nice person but if someone want to mess with me then they're dead," I said casually.

"Ya right,"

I frowned. The car started moving.

"Well this is going to be a long trip," he sighed.

"And I'm going to be sleeping the whole time," I got my pillow out.

"Where the fuck did you get that?"

"Magic," I waved my hands.

He punched me without hesitation.

I was about to punch back but my parents started scolding me.

"You two are already adults. I should've be scolding you two. Don't act like this in the Bloodcrown pack,"

"Yes mother," we both said in unison glaring at each other.

We were all in a SUV with eight seats. Two warriors in the front. Me and Kaito in the third row. Our parents in the second row.

"Well I'm going to sleep. Good night,"

"It's morning," Kaito told me.

Shut up," I mumbled.
