Charlie's POV

I walked down the street that lead to my house. My breath was shaky and my legs were trembling with fear.

Leo took hold of my hand and intertwined our fingers together. "It's going to be okay. I'll be right there with you and my Mum said that if I don't text her with in the next hour she'll come looking for us." He said trying to reassure me.

"I love you Leo." I stated.

"I love you too." He replied and pulled me into a hug.

We let go and linked hands once more and carried on walking.

After a few more minutes of walking in total silence we arrived. I stood outside my door debating if I should knock or not.

Leo squeezed my hand to reassure me.

"You can do this baby." He said and he kissed my lips softly and lovingly.

I knocked on the door and waited for and answer anxiously.

"Oh Charlie, I thought you wouldn't come. Hi Leo" Karen said when she opened the door.

Leo and I just smiled in response.

"Come in boys." She said moving out of the door way for us to go in.

Me and Leo looked at each other and walked through the door.

"Please take a seat we need to have a chat." She instructed.

Me and Leo took a seat. He put one arm around my waist and held my hand with the other.

"Charl, I am really really sorry son. I never should have hurt you like that. I don't mind that you are gay and I'm happy that you are happy. I promise it will never happen again. If you are not comfortable moving back in you can stay with Leo until you are ready I don't mind just whatever is best for you." She said.

"I'll stay with Leo for now and it is going to take me a while to forgive you but there is something you need to do." I said.

"What is that?" She questioned.

"Thank Leo. Without him I wouldn't be alive right now." I answered.

"Thank you Leo, for saving my son's life and for everything you have done for him. I appreciate it." She said meaningfully.

Leo just nodded and smiled slightly not being able to bring himself to words.

"Um I think we should go, I'm pretty tired from school today and I'm sure Leo is too. Bye." I said as me and Leo stood up.

"Yeah he's right. Bye Mrs Lenehan." Leo said taking my hand as we made our way out of the door.

"Bye boys, You're welcome anytime."
She called and she shut the door.

"Baby, you did it. I'm proud of you." Leo said hugging me.

I hugged back.

"Thank you, I love you so much." I said.

"I love you too. Now c'mon let's go home and order pizza." Leo said and we made our way back home.
