The Audition

One Month later...

Leo's POV

We had just got our audition number stickers and were walking into the audition waiting room.

"This is really happening. We're doing this babe!" Charlie exclaimed, wrapping his arm around my waist as we carried on walking to a table of empty seats.

There were a lot of people already in the room and more to come. It was crazy that all these people from all over the country were here but only one of them would win.

We got to our table but we were one seat short and there was not another one in sight.

My Mum sat on one, Charlie's Mum sat on one, Charlie sat down and so did Tilly. I stood next to Charlie and leant on his chair, somehow he knew what I was asking even though I didn't say a word.

"Come on then." He said fondly rolling his eyes at me and patting his lap.

I sat on his lap and he wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder as a leant against him. I loved sitting on his lap in public, we sometimes do it at school on the bench outside until we get told off by my Dad for "inappropriate school behaviour". 

My thoughts were interrupted by Charlie whispering "I love you" in my ear and kissing my neck.

"I love you too." I whisper back to him trying not to blush.

"Bars and Melody?" The producers called.

"Yes?" Charlie replied.

"You are needed for your interview. Can you come with me please?"

I got up from Charlie's lap and waited for him to get up before we followed the producer backstage. Our parents followed behind us and I grabbed hold of Charlie's hand  to try and calm myself down.

We sat on the two chairs in front of the camera and waited for them to say action. We already knew what to do from watching BGT on TV at home.

"And action!" The director called.

"My names Charlie."

"And my name's Leondre"

"And together we are Bars and Melody"

"We are going to perform a song about anti-bullying because it is a topic that is very important to me and we feel like it will give inspiration to other kids that are being bullied and that it does get better."

"I got bullied really badly when I was in primary school and a bit when  I was in my old secondary school but thankfully I told Charlie and he helped sort it out. If it wasn't for Charlie I would probably still be getting bullied with no friends."

"I am very protective over Leo since I witnessed him being bullied and the bond we have is unbreakable and nothing could ever come between us no matter how big the problem is we will always come out the other side. He is definitely my soul-mate there is no doubt about it."

"Cut! that was brilliant guys you are already naturals." the producer spoke.

"Bars and Melody act 39773 please make your way to the main stage."

Charlie put his arm around my shoulder and kissed my head as we made our way to the main stage to get wired up to our microphones.

"I love you Leo, we're gonna do great I'm sure of it." Charlie said softly into my ear.

"I love you too and you're going to be amazing."

We got wired up and walked out on stage. The crowd cheered as we made our way to the X in the middle of the stage.

"Hello, what are your names?" Simon asked.

We introduced ourselves and I'm sure you guys all know how our performance went.

"PUSH THAT GOLD" the crowd screamed at the judges.

No one was going to push the golden buzzer there was no way I was sure of it.

Suddenly Simon got up and pushed the golden buzzer. It was from that moment our lives would change forever.
