Though being born moments ago, she was already being taken away to a prison cell. Her mother had had a bullet to the head right after giving birth. The infant was too busy crying to notice anything was wrong when she was set down in a cement cage. She cried for years, it was the only thing she knew was real, other than blood and cement of course. Eventually, she was moved to another cell, it was a little bigger than the first. But that was the only difference she noticed. After a few weeks, someone came to the cell, it was a tall man with a scar on his right eyebrow , and glossy blond hair. He was wearing baggy pants, and an orange t-shirt. He walked over to her, and punched her in the head. She didn't flinch, so he kneed her in the stomach, this time she coughed out blood. Her instincts took over and she grabbed his head on either side and banged it against her own. The man collapsed, then was dragged out of the room. Later that day, a woman came into the room, but this time, neatly dressed. She proceeded into the room, cringing. The woman signaled to sit down. She knew what this was, the exact same thing had happened exactly 369 days ago. They were here to "teach" her new things, last time it was math, she wondered what it would be this time.

The time passed almost instantly, she now knew over 3 different languages and had learned her new and only name: Niya Cortez. Of course, this didn't matter to the guards, to them her name was still just #9365, just like the burned on mark on her arm stated.
