They walked into the office hand in hand, stopping in the AH doorway. The guys let out a simultaneous "Hey" and swiveled their chairs, not wanting to rush Joel.
"Joel," Ray began slowly. "This is the Achievement Hunter division."
It clicked. Joel had amnesia. Geoff mentally slapped himself. How? How had he come out unscathed but only touched with amnesia? How long would it last? What had caused it? There were so many questions he needed to be answered.
"So that's Jack, Ryan, Geoff, Gavin, Michael, and Lindsay's around here somewhere."
"Ray," Geoff called. "Can I talk to you for a second?" They stepped outside, leaving Joel with his forgotten friends.
Hushed whispers could be heard from outside the door. "So how ya feeling, buddy," Ryan asked. "My head kinda hurts." The guys laughed. "You look smokin' in those scrubs, Joel," Michael commented. Gavin whacked his arm. "Hey!" "You'd look hot in scrubs if you wore them but you don't," Michael defended.
Gavin swiveled back around to face his computer and was furiously typing away while Joel cruised over to the couch and grabbed a controller. He hadn't forgotten how to play video games.
The door swung open with Geoff and Ray behind it. Geoff rubbing his temple and Ray with his hands deeper in his pockets than usual, they returned to their respective spots in the room. Ray grabbed a controlled, joining Joel in his gaming.
