Cheryl pov
I was walking the halls of Riverdale with Toni by my side hand in hand when we turn the corner and see something nobody would wanna see. Me and Toni look at each other before Toni falls to her knees sobbing, Layla was laying in front of us her head with a puddle of blood laying around it. I check her pulse and realized she was still alive, i tell Toni and as soon as we were gonna call the police Veronica runs around the corner with paramedics and Principal Weatherbee. We watch the paramedics carry her away, Veronica looked at us with teary eyes and ran into our arms sobbing. Toni wasn't crying as much anymore she was just frowning. We all made our way to my car and got in to drive to the hospital where Layla was, when we got there we asked the receptionist about her and she told us she was not having any visitors at the time because she was still unconscious.
"Who do you think could have done it" Toni asked looking at a picture of her and Layla when they were little. Toni always carried around that little polaroid of them because they were so close to eachother.
"It was all just a blur" Veronica said looking at the floor.
"What do you mean" i asked
"She was walking me to the gym for vixen practice like she always does and then we hear locker slam behind us then someone covers my head with a bag and i hear a big thump when they took the bag off me i saw two muscular figures run away and then see Layla laying on the ground so i called a paramedic and went to tell weatherbee"
"Well there are really only two muscular boys at our school Reggie and Archie, and they would be there after school for basketball" Toni said still looking at the picture.
"You think it was them" i asked
"It could be anyone honestly i mean come on we live in Riverdale" Veronica said
Right after she said that the doctor came out and told us we could visit her, before the doctor could even finish Veronica was already on her way to her room. When we got in there Layla was hugging Veronica considering she was in there way before us.
"Hey guys" Layla said weakly
"Hey you ok" Toni asked walking up to her
"My head hurts like bad" she said
"Thats because you got hit in the head" Veronica said sitting in the chair next to her bed.
"By who" she said furrowing her eyebrows
"Thats the thing we dont know" i said
"Well what did i do to anyone" she asked
"Date Veronica" Toni said at random
"Excuse me" Layla said
"It's obvious it was Archie and Reggie i mean come on Archie has had a thing against you since Veronica and him broke up so it would make since for him to do that so he tried killing you so that way he could win Veronica back by comforting her" Toni said confidently
"That does make since" Veronica said grabbing Layla's hand.
"Well i think there are really only two people who can figure that out....Hobo and Bride of Hobo" i said
"Well what are we waiting for" Toni said
"You guys can go ill stay here with Layla to make sure shes ok" Veronica said blushing lightly.
"Ok" we both said and headed out to find Jughead and Betty.
